I hired Attorney Mary Jeanne Stone with the expectation that she would represent my interests effectively and professionally. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Throughout the time I worked with her, she failed to communicate effectively with the opposing attorney, which in turn created unnecessary delays and complications in my case. This lack of communication caused frustration and setbacks that could have been avoided with more diligence and responsiveness. On top of that, I was grossly overbilled for many months for work that I believe was questionable at best. The billing practices felt excessive and unfair, especially considering the lack of meaningful progress on my case. Overall, I did not feel that I received the level of service or advocacy that I was paying for. I cannot recommend Attorney Stone, and I would strongly advise others to carefully reconsider before retaining her services.

I worked with Colleen Hollis through a very difficult divorce, and I’m grateful to have had her in my corner. She was respectful of my retainer and never pushed unnecessary actions just to inflate my bill. Instead, she consistently offered thoughtful options at each fork in the road, even when things were emotionally charged or legally complex. What stood out most was her steady, no-nonsense approach. She didn’t sugarcoat things to appease me, but instead kept my expectations realistic while always advocating in my best interest. Even when opposing counsel tried aggressive or theatrical tactics, she remained completely unfazed and focused, which gave me confidence throughout the process. I hired attorney Colleen Hollis from this law firm to just write a letter to my sons school. In the past any other law firm to write a letter would charge a flat fee between $250 and $500. This attorney wanted a retainer for a letter of $2500. Now mind you I paid this because I was in a time sensitive situation. It was all downhill from here. The attorney wrote a letter that didn't get me anywhere. I actually fixed this all on my own. The attorney would not answer my phone calls or emails until a week after I contacted the office which is unacceptable. I asked for a portion of the retainer back and ironically the bill was exactly $2500 for a letter. So no communication, not responsive, only wrote one letter and I get charged $2500. I fixed this all on my own with zero help from the attorney. This attorney just cares about money and nothing else didn't get the job done and severely overcharged for a letter. I got the job done myself and my son finished the school year out and graduated. Run far away from this law firm. I have actually filed a formal complaint with the Mass Bar Association and will be contacting other firms as well to recover a portion of my retainer back.

Attorney Friedman is exceptional. He assisted me diligently and was able to effectively advocate for me to obtain a resolution to a licensing issue in the manner that I desired.
