David Cohen, JD is a great lawyer. He came to me on recommendation from my friend who is a periodontist and I have already recommended him to one of my friends. I would use him again in future contract negotiations. He met and exceeded my expectations as far as his insight and availability. He reviewed my associate contract in an extremely timely manner and responded to me in the evening, on weekends, and even when he was traveling. I was unsure about hiring a lawyer that was nationally based instead of a local lawyer; however, this was an unnecessary fear as he was well informed on the regional standards in my intended practice state. My prospective employer even commented that I had a "good lawyer." I valued that he was able to advise me whether what I wanted was "reasonable" or "on market."

DO NOT USE HIM! Very rude, talks with an ego, if you have a question about his scope of work, and what he covers; he gets defensive and tells you “if you don’t know what we do then we are not a good fit” I even went a step further and tried to explain to him that I’m new to buying a practice and I have no idea about the transaction process that’s why I’m asking him these questions. He states “ yeah, we do 300-400 of these a year we charge 9000$ if you don’t think what we do is worth it then good luck!” Save your self some time and respect, don’t let this guy belittle and disrespect you.

I asked for a fee estimate for document review. $9000, no details. When I asked David for a fee breakdown his reply was: "Jeff, I honestly don’t have any interest in working with you. Best of luck." Which in legal-ese is "shut up and pay me peasant." Impressive ego.

I am continually blown away at the service from Cohen Law Firm. David has been professional, fair and extremely responsive to any contract revisions. He has designed an industry accepted standard for contracts, given great advice in negotiations, expressing his professional opinion, yet allowing for the flexibility of our unique situation.
