I had a great experience working with Dana Jacobs at Coker Law. She kept me informed every step of the way and never over-promised anything. She gave me different scenarios that could happen in my case from best to worst. Her negotiating skills are top notch! In the end, she got me four times what I was expecting. Coker Law was a life saver! After being in an Auto Accident on the way Christmas shopping I was hit so hard I had some pretty severe injuries and could not have even started to know what to do. Dana Jacob's was recommended to me and I gave her a call. She listened to me and immediately started helping me even though she was on vacation for Christmas over a thousand miles away! She was available to me anytime I needed anything at all! All law firms get paid to provide a service but I have never heard of any being this available. We had Stephano handle a very messy auto accident, and he truly helped us. It took a long time to settle due to it being in the middle of covid, and how intertwined it was with another accident. This Law firm is used as collection for HOA companies. First, it appears as a scam. The HOA uses AXIOM Resources formerly known as Capital Recovery read those reviews. This company calls from an unknown number listed as a consumer warning. Many people would over look the numbers.Then, the HOA disconnects their contact based on copies of cerified letters that they have no proof that were received. This is one year of not paying HOA for bad service with the HOA, we were told no funds in the community accounts and many homes are rented in the community. The next illegal thing the HOA and thee collection process did,after seeking the 1 year of missed assessment payment, they turned the account over to Coker Law firm. I filed a complaint with the Better Business they provided different dates. Coker has a dispute the debt, but when you call the person you are connected D.D.R who aurges the point of saying it's the post office fault and tell all your business illegally to anyone without speaking to the homeowner. The past due assessment on the recent letter located in the bushes at my residence have due $711.50 for 2024, but the over charge is attorney fees and undelivered certified mail and the HOA blocked the option to pay the HOA for 2025. The person at the firm stated he thought I knew it was blocked. After, it was explained that I wasn't the homeowner, then the attorney stated his grandmother has a male name and he thought he was talking to the homeowner. He read rights to me and explained the HOA and the laws, but he appeared more of a collection agency and not willing to understand or ask to speak with the homeowner. If Coker Law Firm is only serve as a debt collector, then why have a dispute the debt process that doesn't support the over charge.
