I would ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND ROY COLE. He lied to me multiple times (including what I’d be sentenced to), was late for hearings, is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of, and I still don’t have my copy of body cam footage he said he would send to me over 4 months ago. He refused to fight for me and I also learned he was friends with the prosecutor for Layton city, so avoid him if your case is there. I’ve put off writing a bad review but after 4 months and ignored phone calls/texts, and no responses I have no other option.

Ive seen some pretty poor reviews about this place and can only imagine that the ones giving them are just sad people in general, unhappy that they broke the law . Roy has been very professional with me, yeah, he is a tad on the hard to get ahold of side, but with a case volume like he deals with, thats to be expected. Im probably going to lose my case ( hoping not) but do know that he has given his best to defend me.

Terrible lawyer. Lied to me to get me to plead guilty, never informed me of what sentence I was facing. Hell the Ogden pd "lost" the video footage and he never even used that in court. Constantly lied about not needing to appeal because he was doing everything he could to help me in prison, something he doesn't even have influence on. An all around terrible and lazy individual.

Worst lawyer ever!! Do not go to him!! Will take your money and not do the job then blame it on his assistant. Doesn’t return calls, emails, texts. Horrible person and should be disbarred

So we hired Roy to help my husband with something. We went to court the first time and Roy did nothing to defend my husband. NOTHING! my husband paid him $2200 to hire him and that was all he owed. Well we the went to court the 2nd time and Roy AGAIN did nothing to defend my husband with a case we had. He would say, “ I will take care of you , don’t worry. I will help you. “. He didn’t take care of anything. He just kinda shrugged his shoulders like oh well. We went to court again to appeal something and the judge told my husband that he would let him get rid of what he had going. Well everything was ok. Well the Roy emailed my husband and said the he owed $750 dollars for extra work that he went above and beyond to get the outcome we did. And then he told my husband that, “I cannot control the judge.” He said if we do not pay him he will take us to small claims court, get a judgement on him and take it from you, the choice is yours. He never said a word about my husband having to pay more. I will never recommend anyone to him.

Absolutely disgustingly horrible.

Roy cole dropped the ball on our adoption case during covid. Our case was thrown out because of this, and he kept all our money and refuses to give us paper work we need to contine.

I hired Ray for a short period of time. He was rude. He was unprofessional. He basically said I did not have a say in how he approached my case and that he would fire me unless I followed what he wanted. He charged a lot of money and got nothing done.

Greatest Attorney you could ever ask for.

I just started working with Roy Cole on a case last week, and he has been super easy and laid back to work with, and kept me well informed, and was happy to answer my questions whenever I had any to ask him. And answers the phone most of the time! That was one thing I enjoyed was being able to easily contact him if needed. Thanks Roy Cole!

Roy has been an exceptional attorney, getting my husband a way better deal than we could have ever imagined on a very bleak looking criminal case. I would recommend him 100% of the time for anyone who needs someone honest and aggressive to stand in their court! We are so grateful we made the call and secured his services.
