I received a pretty substantial traffic citation in Overland Park. In speaking with my go-to attorney that I’ve used for ever, he immediately told me there was nothing he could do to fix the citation and referred me to Collin. After a couple emails back and forth, Collin spoke to the prosecutor over a period of a few weeks. The prosecutor agreed to amend the ticket down to a simple speeding charge. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Collin to anyone. The whole experience was great, the fees were appropriate, and the outcome was much better than I had been told by other attorneys in the area.

In May of this year, I found myself in the unfortunate situation of needing to file for a protective order. After filing for the petition on my own, the judge denied my request and I quickly realized I needed someone that actually knew what they were doing. First off, there are not many attorneys that handle PFS cases and even fewer good ones. After researching, I narrowed the list to two attorneys, both of whom I met for interviews. It was crystal clear that Collin was the right choice. He knows the law, he understands how to frame compelling arguments and is ready with plan A, B and C. But on top of that, Collin was a great listener and I felt confident that he paid attention to the details. (The other attorney was arrogant and I could tell that he and his colleagues only cared about collecting the retainer and moving on, not about whether we were going to be able to achieve the PFS.) Collin was realistic about the hurdles and challenges we faced, as well as his plans to prepare a defense for those challenges, which made me feel as prepared as one can be going into court. In the end, we were granted the protective order, I felt grateful to have Collin representing me and while I hope to never need another attorney, I would trust him implicitly in the future.
