An amazing an experienced lawyer. Ed Ahlers I wouldn’t go anywhere else with disability issues. He has advocated, and fought for me with success. He is a lion and wins I have had to go against multiple insurance companies, he has always come with the proper information to come out on top. Now granted, all of my situations were legitimate, so that helps when fighting for the truth He is there for you when it counts. He has made the companies I’ve paid my premiums for diligently and without skipping a payment for the services I paid for. When you need help, and send a random email he is there for you. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him helping me get what was owed to me and denied by the insurance companies. He is like a plumber that got their bullcrap unclogged

They were instrumental in getting my LTD benefits re-instated after the insurance company terminated my benefits. They walked me thru the process and responded quickly to any of my concerns. I passionately recommend the firm of Crowley Ahlers & Roth Co LPA and Ed Ahlers, specifically. When I was at my life's all-time low with severe, debilitating mental and physical health problems that completely impeded my ability to work, I happened upon Ed Ahlers and this stellar firm. I cannot remember exactly how I discovered the fantastic lawyer who is Ed, but the find was one of the most fortuitous ones of my entire life. I cannot over-emphasize the extraordinary services that Ed (and his extremely competent and kind "right-hand woman," Barb) rendered to me, when I could barely function at all, beleaguered as I was by severe Bipolar I, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and crippling Crohn's Disease. The tireless work (and over-and-above hours) put in by Ed (and Barb) quite literally saved my life. Ed worked arduously for five long years, when a lesser lawyer (or person) would have assuredly given up. Not only did Ed function as a stellar advocate for my disability case (going above and beyond the call of duty), but he also became part of a vital support network of professionals. He was, without a doubt, as important to my mental health and well-being as were my psychiatrists, therapists, and gastroenterologists. Ed worked valiantly for me, when many obstacles arose. We soldiered on for five years and through a tremendously difficult appeals process to finally get two well-deserved disability cases approved. (I say "we," but it was in reality it was all Ed Ahlers and Barb who did the work; I was rendered fairly useless by my mental health disorders.) When my conditions were at their absolute worst, and I could literally could not function to even fill out the disability application, Ed metaphorically "held my hand" over the phone, patiently walking me through the disorienting and stressful steps. Ed demonstrated commitment and compassion the like of which I have never encountered in any dealings with law firms, or even other businesses. That is saying a lot, because when I was working from 1990-2018, I worked hard and interacted with many business professionals in the educational, public relations and donor relations fields, which all entailed a lot of work with outside professional entities: "Big Wheels," one could say. I will stop now, lest I go over a word count or overwhelm a potential client with sheer volume of words, but suffice it to say, this firm and Ed Ahlers are “aces” in my book and I recommend the firm without reservation and with great enthusiasm and gratitude.

My particular reason for using Ed Ahlers was for a Social Security Disability claim. I will start by saying that Ed is strides above any professional that I have worked with. From my first phone call with Ed, he was so impressive for not only his knowledge of the process but how much he truly cared. I don’t think the man ever stops working! A good bit of my communication was email and it seemed that no matter when I emailed him, he responded. I did not have to call him or email him twice, he always was back to me very quickly and many times with extreme detail. From my first initial call with Ed he made me feel like a babe in mama’s arms. I knew that I made the right decision going with Ed to represent me. He was so detailed, so precise in the information sent to the hearing judge that the judge made the ‘YES” decision the day before the hearing, so the hearing was not needed and canceled. Great firm! I was always treated with kindness and respect by Mr Ahlers and his staff, which is not always the case when you’re applying for SSDI. Ed Ahlers is my attorney for a long term disability claim I have through my employer. This particular insurance company is famous for denying legitimate claims and it's a long difficult fight that many never win. But Ed did just that for me and my case wasn't easy! He worked so hard for me, he's knowledgeable and eager to fight and knows how these insurance companies work. The last appeal letter he sent on my behalf was 9 pages full of facts about my health, documentation backing it up, copies of other legal cases that mirrored mine. After reading it I thought how the heck could they turn me down, it was that good! Before finding him, I spoke with about 7 or 8 other attorneys who heard about my health issues and/or the insurance company I was dealing and decided I wasn't worth their time, that my case would never be approved. But he believed in me and put in the work that lead to my approval. I wish I had found him earlier as I almost gave up.
