Curt and Shannon were both efficient and professional.

In my experience recently, Mr. Borchardt (Peter), guardian ad litem, did not conduct a thorough investigation during a placement hearing. Despite providing documentation and offering contacts who could speak to the child’s well-being, he did not follow up or gather balanced input. The recommendation appeared incomplete and one-sided and did not seem to fully reflect the child’s best interests. I hope greater diligence and impartiality will be applied in future cases.

If you’re from out of town and you have Peter appointed as your GAL I suggest you do your best to get a new GAL, very biased, each county does their best to keep the child in the filing county regardless of the child’s wishes or the child’s sense of familiarity, faith, or overall community and support being taken into account. We were initially penalized for what felt like for wanting to buy a new home so things went in favor of the petitioner, during this time the petitioner sells their home and argument is suddenly “well respondent is a stay at home mom surely she can have summer placement then” stripping a child of her primary caregiver for the bulk of their life. Get someone that works in the interest of your child not the filing county. The city of Milwaukee is a dirty word to these people. Don’t get robbed of your child as we did.

Years have passed since Curt represented my 83 year old mother with my late brother's estate. Mr. Czachor was highly recommended to us by another estate attorney who couldn't help us. What a mistake Mom made in hiring Curt. It was a complicated case overall, and mom resided in Florida and as a senior citizen, she was very confused by the whole process. I, her daughter and power of attorney, assisted Mom with obtaining records and information needed through the entire process of probate, which lasted over 1 year. Curt was not very personable from the get go, but came highly recommended so we stuck it out. With each meeting that followed, he seemed annoyed and was trite. I had to escort Mom back and forth on our many trips to Wisconsin for meetings and hearings. When we hadn't heard anything about my brothers case and knew the deadline was fast approaching, we talked with Shannon the paralegal, and she assured us the extension would be filed. More time passed and Mom was anxious tried to reach out to Shannon, to find Shannon quit the firm in the midst of everything. We found the Mr. Czachor failed to file an extension in which the estate was penalized. From that point on Curt was impossible to get in touch with and calls were not returned efficiently. The last thing Mom wanted to do was to start the process over with another attorney, so we stuck it out. My mother asked my sister inlaw; who lives in DePere; to make a visit to the office to ask why calls were not being returned. When my sister inlaw asked if Mr. Czachor was in and explained our situation, the office staff was rude with her. My sister in law is the kindest human being on the planet, and was told she didn't have an appointment and that Mr. Czachor was not in the office. My sister in law was just carrying out what my mom asked her to do and Mr. Czachor was getting paid quite a bit of money for letting many balls drop on long the way! Sis inlaw was in shock and left the office in tears, returning to her car. She called me from the law firms parking lot to inform Mom and I of the negative treatment she received from the office staff. As she sat in the parking lot trying to gather herself, Mr. Czachor came walking out of the office building. She was lied to by the staff. I could go on, it was a nightmare for our family. God knows! We did have an amazing tax attorney, separate from this office, who took great care of us and was able to resolve serious tax issues with my brothers estate and guided us with some issues that this office lacked in. We were extremely unsatisfied and mistreated by Mr. Czachor.

Omg! I cannot believe this place. Argumentive, rude and hung up on me! I did not even get to finish. When I asked for her name she said, "what is your name?" in a condescending way. I then asked for her supervisor and she stated "I dont have one,I'm the boss of This domain" This is THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL 1 MINUTE CALL I HAVE ever had in my 44 years of life AND I HAVE HAD SOME MAJOR SITUATION HAPPEN SO THAT IN ITSELF SAYS IT ALL Do not let them handle your case. This is clearly a sign of how they run their pracyice

More recently I worked with Tim P. regarding my estate planning. Things went better than expected and I thought the price was better than appropriate. Great firm and team to work with!
