Do not retain him! The worst DUI attorney there is. He lies and will not follow up with you. He is always busy and acts like he has no time for you. The man shook my hand and told me I would get ten days and I ended up getting 90 days. He claimed it was because the judge that day wasn't the original judge! Total BS! He told me to suppress the evidence and he though we could beat the case? That was also a lie and cost me $1500 more. I could go on and on but I will stop there. Itnwould be in your best interest not to retain him!!!
Mark: I am sorry you are upset. However, you are seriously mistaken if you think I lied to you. I never lied to you. While you received 90 days in jail, there were many factors that led to that sentence and you know what they are. Ten days was the minimum. I filed a motion to suppress evidence because it was the right thing to do and I explained why. . The judge ruled against us. It happens.
I also filed a motion to modify your sentence to release you early for which I didn't charge you. The judge denied the motion.
What I can say to those who read my reviews is that the majority of them are five star and I stand behind my reputation and honesty.
I wish you the best Mark.
David C. Sheldon
I retained attorney David Sheldon after a motor vehicle accident. David was incredibly thorough, set realistic expectations and was very accessible and responsive while representing me. I highly recommend him.
Great Lawyer and Great Person
he was talked up to be on point, but in reality he wasn't. he told my sister she'd serve 10 days, then she was sentenced to 20. he then told her he'd file for her to get out at the 10 day mark, but on that day he said he wouldn't do anything without more money. also feel that as her acting attorney he should've stood up for her to be able to get her medicine that she was told to take which the jail refused her. said he didn't know what he could do and told me good luck...i guess it's the job of a different attorney to protect her constitutional rights. (8th amendment, cruel and unusual punishment.. it's not the jails authority to deny anyone their prescribed medicine) there's only two reasons a prosecutor becomes a defense attorney, money is one and more money is the other.
Tommy:
You are not my client and your information is second-hand. I cannot comment upon the communications between your sister and me. They are protected by the attorney-client privilege. No attorney can guarantee what sentence the judge is going to impose. By law, the judge was required to impose a mandatory minimum sentence of ten days in jail for a second offense in ten year OVI. However, the judge was free to impose a jail sentence of up to 180 days in jail. I charge a fee for my services, as do most attorneys. I filed a motion to release her from jail after serving 10 days, but the judge denied it, citing those reasons in its judgment entry, including the high BAC result. Debra was aware of the potential consequences, including a jail sentence greater than 10 days.
David’s experience & expertise was unmatched. Highly recommend to anyone in need of representation.
I don't feel it necessary to share all the details of the case, but i will say that David Sheldon did an AMAZING job representing my son. Mr. Sheldon was referred to us by a former Medina Co. prosecutor. We were told he's tough and will get the job done! Our family is very happy with the outcome of this case. Thank you David Sheldon for everything.
Mr. Sheldon is a fantastic attorney. I couldn't recommend him enough. He is very easy to talk to, and very good at his profession. A+ Thank you Mr. Sheldon
David was a great attorney. Very knowledgeable with everything I had going on. Knew what the prosecution was going to look for since he was on that side of the law years ago. This was my first trouble with the law and David was able to get the major offence dismissed and only got a hit with a minor misdemeanor and court fees. I would recommend him as an attorney. Going forward if I have any other need of an attorney. I will be giving him a call.
When someone comes to you with a legal issue, you should probably refrain from scolding them like they're your kid. I was your biggest fan until you disrespected me David. I told everyone I know about the great job you did for me, then you threw it all right in my face.
Attorney Sheldon has represented my family excellently. I learned of him from my parents because he had represented my mom when she fell and broke her arm within a local store. When my husband was attacked by a dog, we contacted him. He immediately replied to our internet inquiry and helped my husband receive $25,000 in compensation for his extreme pain and suffering. Attorney Sheldon was instrumental in guiding us through this process and negotiating a very reasonable outcome. In addition, we contacted him when our daughter was unjustly arrested and charged with 2 felonies. Attorney Sheldon has been there with us every step of the way as we ultimately cleared her name of all charges. I would recommend him to anyone needing representation.
In a county known for NEVER reducing OVI charges (nor most charges, frankly) Mr. Sheldon was able to obtain a unanimous "not guilty" verdict from the jury in my case by utilizing his extensive knowledge of field sobriety tests and the driving laws of the state of Ohio. David became familiar with every second of dash cam and body cam video presented in my case and used the video to my advantage, even though I failed the tests. A relative who has lived in Medina for over 30 years described winning this case anywhere in Medina County "historic," as it is extremely rare that a plaintiff wins in Medina County. Thank you, David! I am extemely happy with the service you provided. I hope to NOT need an attorney in the future, but if I do Mr. Sheldon will be the first person I call.
I would highly recommend David Sheldon. He had great communication with me and fast response time when needed.
Best attorney it’s about David Sheldon . He is very professional, responsible and smart attorney. Absolutely recommend to people who need help with different cases .
Your correct. You haven't me be because you were unwilling to take the time to meet and with us. Apparently our money isn't good enough for you. No worries we found a great group of attorneys over at David McArtors office.
I don't know who Greg Smith is and he has never been a client of mine.
David is amazing he is truly one of the best lawyers around I had an ovi he literally tore the police apart told them they violated my constitutional rights by questioning me while I was parked on the side of the road using my gps and wasn't even driving you have to see this man in action he is truly amazing
Great attorney! Would recommend to everyone
David is truly one of the best attorneys in Medina County and the surrounding area. Since I have been in practice, I have had the honor of trying jury trials along side David. Throughout my career, he has been a mentor of mine. His secretary Joyce is also very knowledgeable and has helped me with many legal questions on several occasions when David is busy. While I was on Wadsworth City Council, I would refer many cases to David because my position in the City caused a conflict. In fact, one person that I referred David found me and personally gave me a gift card to Flemmings because they were so pleased with the referral. In that particular case, David beat the OVI case for him in the Wadsworth Municipal Court. You really cannot go wrong with David Sheldon.
The degree of attention that David gave to both of my cases is immeasurable. Listening to him representing me was an experience in itself as he dug out the smallest details from my cases to win my cases. I was certain the second case was a lost cause and vastly underestimated what an experienced professional can get accomplished. It's clear that by choosing this man to represent you the best possible first step is already taken and impressive results await. Will recommend to everyone that's in legal trouble.
