He was a good lawyer overall, but my experience was mixed. I went into this asking for a 70/30 custody arrangement. What I learned through the process is that courts generally default to 50/50 custody unless there is something extremely major involved, such as proven drug abuse or serious safety concerns. Regardless of whether you hire a lawyer or not, the outcome in most custody cases will likely be the same. I truly wish I had been made more aware of that upfront instead of being told it was something that could be done. I would have appreciated more transparency about realistic expectations before committing financially. We had also agreed that I would claim my daughter on taxes every year, but the paperwork for that was never submitted. When tax season came, neither of us was able to properly file for her, which caused unnecessary stress. Another concern was billing. If you carry a balance, they charge around 20–25% interest monthly, which adds up quickly. In January, I made what I was told would be my final payment. I specifically asked for confirmation that my account was fully paid, and I was told yes. However, about a month and a half later, I received another bill for additional charges. That was frustrating and unexpected. Additionally, both receptionists were very rude in the beginning. I noticed the behavior early on but continued with the firm. There is a difference between being straightforward and being rude, and many interactions felt passive-aggressive. As a first-time parent going through custody court, I was extremely nervous and felt like I needed representation. Now that I’ve gone through the process myself, I personally feel it wasn’t worth the cost in my situation. If you are considering hiring a lawyer for child custody, make sure you fully understand realistic outcomes and the billing structure before committing.

Awesome attorney. He represented my husband who won his case in family law Court. He was dependable and stood up for him in Court. Highly recommended

I’ve used Mr Minyard for the last five years for multiple cases. He’s extremely knowledgeable. I have not yet been disappointed ever and always got my anxiety set at ease and cases straight forward done the way they should by him and his team. He tells you like it is and he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to the law. As a mom who struggles with anxiety having mr Minyard with en through these things and so knowledgeable of the law and helpful I could not recommend him more.

I wish I could give this guy 0 stars. My husband went to him for legal advice and was accused of being under the influence. Come to find my father also went to this guy for his divorce and he said he was rude, unprofessional, and a “smart ass”. Don’t waste your time.

This attorney accused me of being under the influence while interviewing and providing services. I came stressed and left even more stressed due this attorney profiling me.

Giving your money to this guy is like flushing it down the toilet called and set up an appointment for a consultation gave my court date to the secretary went in paid $100 just to have Mr minyard tell me he was not available on the date of my trial would not refund my hundred dollars I asked him if we could change my court date to suit him he said that is not possible my opinion this guy knowingly set me a consultation for $100 knowing he wasn't available on my court date very very unethical and dirty no excuse for it do not give him your money stay away from him this is my opinion and my experience reported him to the better Business should have reported in to the bar for unethical

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! By far, the most unreliable and unprofessional lawyer I’ve ever crossed paths with. Treats his clients like garbage! Save yourself, and your family the hassle, find someone else to represent you.

If I could give a negative number, I would. I had a consultation regarding my daughter and grandson being abused. This man was insulting, demeaning, dismissive and made me feel an inch tall. He should be absolutely ashamed of the way he treated me.the fact that he specializes in family law if horrifying to me. Shame on him.
