DO NOT RECOMMEND, THEY WILL SCAM YOU AND IM NOT THE ONLY ONE. I wish I could give this firm negative stars. For starters, they pressed me very hard in the beginning on setting up auto payment for the monthly $600 fee that was supposedly all inclusive. At first they were very communicative until a lawyer was actually assigned to my case. We discussed all the situations surrounding my separation and filing for divorce as well as child custody. Over the course of the six months that I had them retained, there was absolutely nothing filed on my behalf. No paperwork was ever submitted in my case and the lawyer that assigned to my case, Mary Lauren Hammonds, was barely responsive. I could not ever get a hold of anyone at the actual attorney’s office to follow up on my case and nothing was ever communicated to me as to what was going on. In April 2025 Mary Lauren Hammonds was completely MIA from my case at which time I filed a complaint with the Florida bar and a request to get my money back that I have paid, and they simply said that she could not be held responsible. The law firm itself never responded to any of my calls, emails, nothing. But they did continue to send me the automatic payment Document which I refuse to sign. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Mary Hammonds was working for this company, and totally messed me over. I would stay far away from this company.

I hired Davies & Associates, Attorneys at Law, who charged me directly and then referred me to the external attorney Mary Hammonds. It turned out to be one of the worst experiences: no communication, no professionalism, and absolutely zero progress on my case. After paying nearly $6,000, I received nothing in return. I have now learned that she was dismissed, but that does not solve the main issue: the refund of my money or the firm’s responsibility for assigning her in the first place. Their business model seems to focus on charging monthly fees and dragging out cases rather than solving clients’ problems. I strongly recommend anyone reading this to be very cautious. If you’ve gone through a similar situation, report it to the Florida Bar. That’s what I will do, because practices like these destroy trust in legal services.

Lack of communication, professionalism and follow through. Attorney Mary Hammons, says she cares deeply but her actions speak differently. I'll first start out on her response rate which is lack luster. Even when she claimed she was working on a mofifcation that we were willing to pay for, she completely fell off the face of the esrth since February. Her complete disregard to pay attention to details cost us alot, that could've been avoided if a better review of the materials provided was completed. You cannot ace a test if you dont put the efforts in studying, the same principle goes for prepping for cases. I don't know if she's over worked or not, but let this be a warning to any future clients. If you have a complex matter that requires a keen eye, a shark in the court room, this isn't the attorney for you, plain and simple. Considering what avenues to take for a possible compliant to the Florida Bar for her actions and the actions of Davis and Associates. Also, they will claim I was not a client, but trust me I was very much involved in the process and will post the email, text evidence if they shall ever try to diminish their lack of professionalism and unethical behavior.

Can't understand alienation of a parent 😕 even when I have 10k to drop...hilarious big mistake it's called interference with child custody

They have absolutely no problem taking thousands of dollars from you when you're already vulnerable. $600 a month for them to do nothing but ignore your emails and text messages!

The most unprofessional law firm I have ever experienced. Being a paralegal myself I am beyond disappointed in this firm's lack of professionalism. I have gone two weeks without speaking to my attorney. I have asked multiple times to be transferred to a supervisor and have not received a call back. When I call expressing my concerns to Carter (one of the staff members) He laughed at me over the phone and still did not get me in contact with anyone. My attorney breached attorney client privilege by sending me someone else's petition for dissolution of marriage, containing his wishes and personal information. When I made several attempts to contact a supervisor today, the staff would answer the phone and hang up on me. I have not been able to get a hold of anyone since. I am fighting for my children and therefore this case means a lot to me. Being laughed at and ignored by a law firm is absolutely unprofessional .

This place has a chance before I’m there and explain to me why my daughter’s divorce is taking so long. I’ll be there Friday. Figure it out.

I am a former director of a large law firm, and I can confidently say that Mary Hammons is the best attorney that has ever existed. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional, but most importantly, she truly cares about her clients. Honestly, this Earth is a better place because she is on it. Even these words are not enough to describe how wonderful of an attorney she is. Her paralegal Elizabeth is also such a blessing and so great at her craft. Davis and Associates has a unique approach to billing that I really appreciated. Rather than billing hourly, like other firms, they ask for a retainer fee and then set a monthly payment. I was able to call my lawyer whenever I had a question, and my billing never changed! I highly recommend this firm!
