Strongly advising caution when dealing with this firm, specifically Nestor Puertas. Our experience has been defined by a lack of integrity and broken agreements. Communication is virtually nonexistent with calls and emails go ignored, yet there seems to be plenty of time for PR damage control on review platforms. Their business practices are a liability to their own brand and a disservice to their clients.

Hello, I paid $1,000 via Zelle for the recovery of my A-Number. I have not received any proof that my FOIA was filed. Please send me the FOIA receipt and case number within 48 hours, or issue a full refund immediately. If I do not receive a response, I will file a complaint with The Florida Bar and proceed with small claims court. Thank you.

COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED!!! At first, they made it sound great. I paid the first installment, and then they said it was over $18,000 in total. Later, I found out they had tricked me and were actually trying to get me "asylum" so that in a couple of years the court would revoke it and I would always be deported. They are scammers. Thank God the bank returned my money; I didn't lose anything. You are in Florida, and I'm in California. I tried to resolve this amicably, but they stopped answering my calls. BE CAREFUL; IF YOU DON'T PAY, THEY WILL REPORT YOU.

BEWARE I trusted them, and my experience was very disappointing. When you're no longer convenient for them, their treatment of me changes completely. In my case, there were problems with payments and with how they handled the situation. What I went through left me with serious doubts about their professionalism and values. If this is how they manage their internal relationships, I can't help but wonder how they handle their clients' cases.

2/21/26 Received a response after posting my review. 30-45 days for court approval. That was in response to my December 31, 2025 email. ***I signed my agreement in December 2025 and have not received any payment. Additionally I can't reach anyone and the email address is now invalid. Phone calls are not returned. Total scam.

I've been working on my immigration case for a year now, and both the lawyers and assistants are very professional and dedicated. They're very communicative and pay close attention to even the smallest details. The lawyer, Oscar, personally contacted me to give me the details and welcome me. Nestor Puertas is very deceitful and dishonest. The law firm should evaluate the harm he is causing to their brand. They make false agreements and won’t reply back to calls or emails, but I am sure they will be quick to reply to this review. Don't do business here.
