I have nothing but positive things to say about Delegal Poindexter & Underkofler, P.A. I worked closely with Alex Underkofler to negotiate my severance agreement, and the experience was superb from beginning to end. The firm’s communication was excellent, and Alex’s direction, legal knowledge, and strategic gameplan were top-notch. While we didn't get the absolute 'dream' scenario, I truly feel that Alex secured the best possible outcome for me. If you need workplace legal assistance in Florida, this firm is a fantastic choice to trust. Alex, James, and Tad are smart, tenacious, and genuinely great lawyers.
Tad and his team were top tier! The were very professional, empathetic, and knowledgeable. They handled my case efficiently and strategically. He (they) really went above and beyond to help me in my employment issue. Even after my case was complete he still takes my calls and assist me! For that I am grateful and highly recommend this firm.
Tad Delegal was very straightforward and professional in handling my employment matter. He’s not inexpensive, but he’s honest and tells you what you need to hear rather than what you want to hear, which is especially important in Florida employment cases. He helped me understand the risks clearly and worked toward a reasonable middle ground resolution. Thanks to his guidance, I’m now able to move forward and focus on running my own company.
James Poindexter provided everything I needed. The team effort provided by those within this practice helped me to reach resolution in a notably difficult scenario. With every sense of attention that could be afforded, they met my concerns, promptly acted, and assisted in negotiating the finer details until all matters were addressed. While I only had direct contact with a few members of the team in their office, I knew that everyone there would have taken steps to do what they knew was right if called upon from within the group. I found fair practice, grounded perspectives with realistic approach, along with explanations that guided me to a better outcome. Gaining my trust is rare enough. I would trust anyone in this office if I ever needed help again. I encourage anyone needing help with employment matters to give this team the details and allow them to demonstrate their abilities on your behalf.
Very nice staff Tad Delegal was very knowledgable ,understanding ,kind, and very honest.
I had a great experience working with Delegal & Poindexter, and will return for repeat business. When I had a good idea for an agreement, Delegal implemented it with full legal knowledge of the ins and outs. When I had a bad idea, I was advised with options for a different approach and I was provided a thorough explanation to support my understanding. While I can't advise you legally, I can encourage you to give Delegal & Poindexter a call. Don't cut corners on your legal matters. They could cost you exponentially more than the cost of a contract and superior consultation.
I wanted to take a moment to leave a positive review here. I hope it’ll drown out some of the fake reviews on here. I retained Tad Delegal after I experienced wrongful termination. This was easily one of the worst moments of my life. As fathers and husbands, we try to keep it together, but I was ready to break. Tad’s compassion and desire to help people really took a lot of that stress away. I’ll caveat that my case isn’t over, but this man really does go above and beyond to ensure people are actually treated like humans. If you’re worried that you’re getting the shaft and there’s nothing you can do about it, Tad is your guy. Thank you, to the whole team!
Quick consultation appointment. Very helpful and put my mind at ease.
Glad to have been able to help. Thank you for your review.
My experience with attorneys is fairly limited but I would hope that they would comport themselves with the empathy and integrity of James Poindexter. I don't ordinarily leave reviews in any forum but the caliber of service exhibited by this firm and their commitment to going the extra mile in the name of just being DECENT PEOPLE more than merits a five star review. These are people you can trust and I hope you do.
Thanks Jack. I am proud to be able to work with James. We really try to do our best and I appreciate your comments. Tad
Practically rolled his eyes at me and was very disrespectful and condescending. Do not recommend Tad Delegal at all.
I never met with this person. The name used is the name of a Seinfeld character. This is a fake review.
I recently met with Tad Delegal to discuss an employment matter. I found him to be very knowledgeable, a good listener, as well as empathetic. He never swayed me in any direction but thoroughly explained all of my options. I would recommend him to anyone seeking legal advice regarding an employment matter.
Thanks Ginny. My best to you and your family.
Mr. Delegal was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. He took his time during the consultation answering all of our questions. His representation helped us to obtain the best outcome for all involved.
Thank you very much. It was a pleasure working with you.
I would never recommend this attorney. He could have very well told me he couldn’t help me way before taking my money. My PRE-application that was completed prior to meeting with him, told him way in advance the statue of limitations for my claim had ran out. What an unethical thing to do. But what do you expect from an attorney that is allowed to charge an astronomical fee for a saying something that could have been told in a 2 minute telephone call. Shame on him!!!
We would not have met with somebody and charge for the time if there was not something that we could do to assist the potential client. I don’t believe I ever met with this individual, because I certainly would not have undertaken representation if we could not have provided some service. We spend substantial time with each of our clients, which is why we charge an initial retainer. If it becomes obvious that we cannot assist somebody (either through our pre-screening or during our first meeting), we would refund the money or reduce the charge based on the time actually spent. If there is something else we can do to provide some meaningful services, then we do charge for the services. I do recall one person who had exceeded the statute of limitations on one claim, but we were able to provide that person with a substantial amount of help on other issues, and I certainly didn’t get any impression that the client was displease with the services - I guess it could be the same person who posted the review, but I would be very surprised if he felt that we somehow didn’t provide good value. If this individual wants to provide his or her full name or give information to permit us to address any concern about services, I can review the concern (which I haven’t heard about to date), but I really don’t believe this could have been a client who used our services.
In my opinion, he didn't really consider my case, he wrote: "We are not in a position to provide representation."
Unfortunately we can’t help in every case, but we try to provide honest advice. If we weren’t in the position to help, it was probably because we were too committed to other work to have the capacity to provide good representation at the time for your case. It would not be responsible to take on representation when we weren’t in the position to do so well.
