I had a great experience working with Disability Law Group. My beautiful and talented sister who hardly ever calls me introduced me to Taylor who became my lawyer. Taylor, was able to accomplish in 6 months what I’ve been trying to do for 15 years. She should call herself the “pitbull” The whole staff was very attentive during the process and kept me notified throughout. I live in another state than Michigan but don’t let that deter you. Being from another state wasn’t restricting in any way. I hope anyone dealing with the VA contacts Disability Law Group as soon as possible.

Attorney Erin Rich only looked for shortcuts. I waited months for my hearing which is expected but I actually never spoke with her until the evening before the hearing for maybe 15 minutes. For the 15 minutes we spoke it seemed as if she knew nothing about my case. During the hearing the Vocational Expert stated that I could perform 3 jobs that in reality there was absolutely no way I can perform those, but Ms. Rich asked this "expert" little to no questions. If she did, maybe I would have received a different decision. I received a denial and she represented me for the appeal. I have no idea what she did during the appeal process, but I'm pretty sure it was nothing other than file the paperwork stating that I wanted to appeal which I could have done that myself. I got a second denial and my only other option was to appeal at the Federal level which she was either unwilling or incapable of doing. I was never told which it was. Any time I wanted to speak to Ms. Rich during this entire time I was connected with the Case Manager. My Case Manager was switched 2 or 3 times without even being informed about it. I was never able to actually speak to Ms. Rich. Unfortunately 2 of the Case Manager's that I had came off incompetent and it was extremely frustrating. The reason why I went with a large company like this was because I thought they would be faster and easier to work with over a small company that has a limited amount of staff. Now that I'm working with an attorney here in my hometown, I wish I would have went that route first. I also think it's crazy that Ms. Rich has promoted to a supervising attorney. My best advice is to go somewhere local because these large companies do not care about you at all.

I hired this law firm for my disability claim. I'm happy to say I won my case. I'm sorry to say I am convinced I could have done it BETTER, with LESS STRESS on my own without giving away a large chunk of my settlement to unempathetic, unapologetic Ambulance chasers. I received a bench decision on January 6th. The case hasn't yet been closed though and it's already Feb 2nd- a delay my attorney and his office of flunkies are wholey responsible for. I will probably die before I get any of my money. But Disability Law Group is getting paid no matter if I do or not (that's one document they DIDNT overlook or slack on) - so they feel no urgency. As I said I won my case but I would have hired a different firm if I knew then what I know now.
