Disability rights Florida is a joke and a waste of taxpayer money thy are supposed to be a organization that helps and protects people suffering from disabilities however this is far from the truth over the past three years I’ve had a open case with them despite this there was nothing done about my issue with APD ( agency for persons with disabilities) despite years of emails showing my complaint and wrongful negligence imposed by the agency also the agency investigator himself seen the issues the agency cases despite this the agency gets away with what they do my future for getting waiver services is not certain and disability rights isn’t doing nothing

Failure to legal advocacy or accommodations for several court cases involving the publisher of this review. Discriminatory practice. Falsifying information via telephone about acceptable cases that qualified for advocacy that were clearly posted on their website.

Now I understand the bad reviews, whoever responded my email after filling out the intake is extremely rude, is true they are trash.

I'd give them no stars if I could. Person on the line was incredibly rude. I expect better from staff who care about our most vulnerable.

Amazing device and support. Phone call on one day telling me about your Services. The next day, I got a call from a sister organization, and less than a week later, I was in an adjustment to blindness course, and they even picked me up at my home and drove 45 minutes away to the class seven times. They also set me up for another course on October 1st, which is a weekly course on Wednesdays. Everyone at the courses was extremely nice and understanding. Arthur was amazing he truly worked with me and helped me tremendously! He was extremely dedicated and devoted to helping me and my situation. I truly appreciate him and all his work and I’m more than satisfied with the Disability Rights Florida organization. I am also extremely grateful for the outcome I received. this organization is truly here to help advocate for individuals and I admire that!

I have worked with Disability Rights for assistance in managing benefits that my adult son is entitled to because of his significant disabilities. There is a waitlist. This is no simple task in Florida, however, by following the specific advice provided by the professionals in this organization, I was able to acheive the desired outcome. This required TIME, patience, persistance and the ability to provide accurate documented information. You must understand the process and follow the process. There are no SHORTCUTS. Thank you!, Disability Rights Florida.

There has been a big change since 2019, Disability Rights Florida forgot who they worked for. Disability Rights Florida was once known for its strong advocacy and unwavering commitment to protecting the rights of individuals with disabilities. The organization plays a crucial role in fighting for accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunities across the state. However, they no longer return calls. You can call them and fill out the application, but no one returns your call. You can send them emails to follow up and no one returns the emails. This lack of communication has left many individuals feeling unsupported and frustrated. It is crucial for organizations like Disability Rights Florida to prioritize responsiveness and accountability to effectively serve the needs of the community they are meant to assist.

This place is trash. They say they help for free, but what you get is people that have no idea how to do their jobs... First it months for them to respond. The first "advocate" Jennifer Coburn said on the phone that there were so many violations then 2 days later said there isnt. Her bosses disagreed with her, got transferred to an ruder person who basically told be something totally different. Then they dropped the case and now because of there incompetence I may not be able to sue the district. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!

My son could not have had better advocate fight on his behalf, Ms. Alvarez was so incredible and knowledgeable, everything she did was always in the best interest of my son. We had several meetings with his school and her integrity and professionalism with school staff, my son and myself, was nothing less than exemplary. Her hard work is greatly appreciated, there are no words to express our gratitude. My son is on his way to being successful, with the accommodations that has been put in place to help him achieve those successes, because of her insistence, persistence and unwavering determination to ensure that he received the accommodations tailor made for his educational needs. We are eternally grateful to this organization and the amazing work it has provided for my son.

I have absolutely no words to describe how thankful I am to them, specially to Selina! She is an angel in our lives! We needed their help twice in two years and they were there for my child, always! In every meeting, every email, always getting out of their way to help no matter the time I would send emails! Selina has put all her heart into helping my child. I will never ever ever be able to pay it back, and will never find enough words to express how grateful I am for having her in our lives when we needed the most! Thank you, guys! Thank you for not giving up on my child even when the fight got stressful! Thank you, Selina, for speaking up on behalf of my child and making sure his rights and needs were respected and attended. You guys are incredibly great! ❤️

Doesn't help students with disabilities stear clear. Was told by one of their attorneys that my kid doesn't need to know how to read since 67 percent of children in Florida can't read on grade level.

So far so good. I am in the midst of fighting issues with people who think they can decide if I am disabled or not and they are gonna see how they can help me deal with theses issues Okay so it’s been almost two years and I have gotten no help to resolve my issues with Camp Inn and the judgement on me and my accommodation dogs (esa). So when pushed for resolve, they just denied my claim and so my landlord (corporate office) took that as an opportunity to try and evict us again after two years with no issues. Now I have to go to a hearing and good lord finding an attorney is NOT an easy task. NO ONE WILL HELP THAT I HAVE CALLED!!! They don't have time or they don't take cases like mine. Either way, I am doing this. They cannot do this to me!
