I wish I didn’t have to write this, but I want to warn others about my experience. I paid Attorney Donet a $5,000 retainer for legal representation. Shortly after, my insurance company appointed their own counsel who handled nearly everything needed. Attorney Donet made only a few phone calls and did not provide substantial work for the amount paid. Despite multiple requests, he has refused to return the unused portion of my retainer. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Florida Bar regarding this matter.
Sam (M.N.) I am a senior citizen who was falsely accused by a malicious individual, which resulted in a very harsh police and detective report that could have resulted in my imprisonment. I should mention that I am a law abiding citizen that had an immaculate background record upto that incident and never had any problem with law enforcement. While I was detained, i had to appear before a judge and the judge recommended for me to get lawyer representation based on the charges. Therefore, my family went ahead and contacted Mr. Larry McMillan, from the Law Offices of "Donet, McMillan & Tronts." He immediately made an incredible defense and drastically was able to reduce the amount of the bail bond. I was then released from the detention center. The next day while I was still in a shock state of mind because of the incident, I visited McMillan's office. I was greeted in a professional and friendly manner by him and his paralegal Ms. Marlene. Mr McMillan patiently explained everything about my case and assured me that everything would be fine and I would not be going to jail. I immediately knew I was in the hands of a professional and knowledgeable attorney and honestly, I got a sense of relief! He provided me exceptional service during a very difficult time. Once he took on my case, I was able to sit back and let him handle it. He had taken all the information I had given him and went to work with it immediately. He was always available to answer any questions I had and responded promptly to all my emails and phone calls. Marlene also was an asset by the way she always treated me in a respectable and professional manner, was exceptionally helpful as well and she always brighten my day when I spoke with her. Finally, Mr. McMillan managed to get all the charges against me dropped and I was not convicted and the case was closed with good results.
