I do not recommend this law firm. I'm from out of state, had to initiate a modification to a parenting plan and modification to child support. The process started in October of 2021. I thought I made the right choice with Phillip Dodd. I was clearly wrong. I asked for multiple things to happen and had given a retainer that I already couldn't afford and he was aware of my finances from our first meeting. He would tell me things would be filed at certain times but it didn't actually happen until 2 weeks later. I asked for modifications to a certain petition, he said he made those changes and I was charged for those changes. Then months later when it's time to file he sends the petition to review and it has nothing about the changes that we discussed and I was charged for. Lawyers normally run things by you and clear it with the client before proceeding. This law firm will have phone conferences for hundreds of dollars with out of state agencies and not tell you about it until you get the bill. I was told that a certain answer to a response from the defendant had to be within 30 days. It was not filed for 49 days which only makes this long and expensive process even longer. Then when you have been overcharged and dispute the bill, he will give some reason for a hearing to be "rescheduled" the day prior to it and say he no longer represents you because of an outstanding bill that is absolutely unreasonable when you had already given way more than what was owed fairly. Do not waste your money here. Instead of correcting issues, they abandon you when you need representation the most.
