I used Ray Critchett for help in settling a dispute from a car accident I was a part of in 2016. I first met with Ray in June of 2017 after trying to settle and deal with the other person's insurance on my own. I met in June of 2017 with Ray and gave him all the things he asked for so he could request everything he needed. I was told it would take up to 60 days for him to get everything and to be able to start crunching numbers and getting a plan together. 90 days passed with no communication and I had to email back and forth with his secretary multiple times. They kept telling me they were in the beginning of an office move and still did not have all the records they had requested. This continued on until around March/April of 2018. I had to settle with the insurance company by May of 2018 and Ray still claimed to not have everything he needed. At this point, I just assumed that they never even started on my case. Eventually everything was received and I finally signed my settlement only a few days before the 2 year mark. I was told all medical bills and everything I had paid for my pain and suffering was paid for already by the insurance company and the money that I received was for me. A couple months later, I received a bill of over 800$ from the emergency room that I went to on the night of my accident even after Ray told me that everything had been paid for. Ray was not attentive to my case and I believe he just threw what he could get quickly together and did not take the time to make sure everything had been completed just so he could get paid in time. I would NOT recommend this practice to anyone. I am now stuck with an over $800 hospital bill that I REFUSE to pay because the at fault party's insurance company was supposed to pay it and Ray did NOT make sure it was taken care of on his end.
