Even though I moved to SoCal for its famous and well-deserved reputation for acceptance of those of us in the LGBT demographic, I have since discovered that such embrace does not always extend to the workplace, especially for visibly ‘minority’ people such as myself. When I faced discrimination in such a way, I was really uncertain whether I could find legal representation who would take me any more seriously than the business I felt had wronged me. If any of the legal team at Eghbali Saw me in anything other than an utterly professional and respectful light, their ability to keep those feelings private deserves an Oscar. But I am more inclined to believe that their warm, reassuring, and impressively intelligent presentation was sincere.
