All I can say is these reviews will back me up. Lol. Don't waste your money or time on this person. She's late to court and she over talks in court and she giggles too in court. Nooo. She not who we hired. But we're the ones on the opposite side of the court room. Civil and criminal. She tries to get everything continued. Most times she does on criminal side. Extremely rude. Called to ask a question and the book keeper asked if I wanted to book a consultation which I declined and I wished her a good day before ending the call. The lawyer promptly called back and was extremely rude asking why I hung up on the book keeper and tried to berate me for not holding after saying have a good day. Sounds to me someone's business is slow and a little angry I did not want to pay for a simple question.

Ms Badeaux was hired as my divorce attorney after speaking with her at the beginning of October. Since that time, any communication was done through email, most of which went unanswered. Any documents requested of me were not followed up on. If I were that important as a client who is paying for your services, I should have the expectation of being followed up with regarding relevant documents before the hearing. When I did submit the requested documents, they were never received as her personal email isn't checked and again, had to re-email them the day of the second hearing. She then grew frustrated at me for not submitting the documents and because her Zoom feed was bad. I chose to abandon her and the hearing when I realized I am not valued as a client. She chose to withdraw as my counsel as I had not fulfilled my payment obligations despite requesting to terminate her services in Oct and advising I couldn't afford her services in Jan. If you want to be valued as a client, seek other counsel.

Had a divorce mediation with her. Divorce paperwork was supposed to be filed with the court. I asked that they hold off on filing for a short time. I wanted to ask her a few questions before filing. I called and emailed several times trying to talk to Ms Badeaux. Finally I told the assistant I would pay money to schedule an appointment to speak with Ms Badeaux just so I could get this matter settled. I was told that wouldn’t be necessary, she would contact me. She never did. Note that I emailed her personally and she never responded. I ended up having to figure out how to do my divorce paperwork on my own and filed it myself. I sincerely regret ever contacting this office. She made an already extremely stressful time in my life even worse!

Ellen and her staff have always been very courteous, responsive, and easy to work with. She is very creative with her approach to cases and I have learned a lot from her over the years. She also understands that the best interest of the children is always most important.

I should have checked the bad reviews before I chose this attorney. This is by far the worst attorney I've ever had the misfortune to be represented by in a custody matter. So much so, even the judge herself reprimanded her in every court appearance we had. Let me further elaborate. The first court appearance was supposed to be in person, and I tried to contact Mrs ellen for a month straight to inform her that the court date was approaching but they never returned my call. No contact whatsoever, didn't even bother to call me to prepare for the ruling in advanced. So the day of court, which we wasn't even sure she would appear, we searched around the building to locate her but to no avail, keep in mind she was supposed to be in person, however she appeared in a zoom call. When our proceedings began the Judge asked her "why are you appearing in a zoom call when you are supposed to be here in-person." Mrs Ellen got an attitude with the judge and said, "Well my paperwork says it was suppose to be a zoom call." The Judge responded "no. This is a ruling, which has to be in person." Mrs Ellen disagreed with the judge which was just so unprofessional and shows she was clearly unprepared. The judge gave her a stern warning to pay closer attention to court documents. Once the first appearance came to a close the judge mandated that there should be a filing done by April 18th 2024 by Mrs Ellen on our behalf. The judge went on to Say that if Mrs Ellen failed to prepare the order in a timely manner then she(The Judge) would have no other choice but to consider the opposing party counter suit. Mrs Ellen agreed and promised the judge that she would file an appropriate order per the judge request. I left the court thinking that progess will be made, ASSUMING that Mrs Ellen would take heed to the demands of the judge and file the appropriate order in the timeframe alloted. As time passed, I was disappointed because she did not. I went to the clerk of court to check well after April 18th to see if she filed, and the clerk of court told me that she did not, that no one heard from her. They stated that the judge reissued only Mrs Ellen a summons to appear before the judge to give a reason why she had not prepared the order. I left to court to call Mrs Ellen and after a number of, maybe, 10 times I finally got the receptionist who said Mrs Ellen would get back to me later that day but never did. I've didn't hear a word from her but 5 days later I received in my email a poorly drafted order than could of been done by a 5th grader. My heart dropped. Just poor work, I was so disappointed because I forked over 3500 dollars for this attorney to do nothing and get everything wrong plus argue and debate with the judge. Lastly what made me finalize the separation from this so called attorney was when she sent a bill saying I owe an additional $1800.00 for preparing that poor document at a rate of $400 an hour. Of which her sending that email was in that cost at a price of $100. This lady is a scammer. At the last court appearance she appeared angry that I asked her to withdraw from my case and hearing officer asked her if she wanted to sign the paperwork of withdrawal and she told the hearing Officer "I'm not signing anything for this client." The hearing officer just told her she could leave. Thank God this nightmare is over. Mrs Ellen gave us more problems than the opposing party. She made this case so difficult when prior to her services I was pro se and represented myself far better than she represented me. 0 stars is what I would give this rude and obnoxious lady. Please no one use her services. I wish I would've took heed to the bad Reviews. This is my loss don't let it be yours.

Their staff started out perfectly. Quickly responded to all questions and were very knowledgeable. This quickly turned into no response from any email. Phone calls were not returned. After nearly three weeks of no contact from anyone in their office i fired the firm. Ellen called me 6 days after this telling me how much progress she was making in the last few days. Then got rude and hung up on me when I asked why she was working so hard AFTER being fired. They have not refunded my retainer either. Extremely unethical business practices at best or complete incompetence at worst.

Choosing an attorney can be a daunting process, so I would like to share my good fortune in finding Ms. Badeaux. She represented me in a difficult divorce situation and steered my case from beginning to end with professionalism, skill and confidence. As a seasoned attorney, she brings a formidable bank of knowledge and experience to her cases, which was a constant reassurance to me as a client. In listening to me, she was consistently sharp and incisive, her assessments were spot on, and her successful management of my situation was masterly. I heartily recommend Ms. Badeaux for legal services.

TRAFFIC TICKET DISMISSED! I was recently cited for a moving violation. Being a retired police officer, I knew I had not committed the violation I was cited for, and I also knew that the side of the road was not the place to plead my innocence. I resigned myself to go to court and see if I could have the matter reduced to a non-moving violation. I am currently on chemo and had neither the time nor will, to fight it. I was referred to Ms. Badeaux and through her efforts the citation was dismissed! I highly recommend her and her firm!

I contacted Ellen for a consultation on custody and relocation of my daughter. Ellen was very honest and up front during this encounter, she made it very clear that this would be very difficult to accomplish. In 2020 I hired Ellen. I was instructed to complete anger management of which I did. Each time court was held a continuance was issued due to difficulty in finding another party needed to move forward. I had gotten a p.i. to locate the other party in which we were finally able to move forward and able to see a hearing officer. Ellen was able to get me every other weekend custody. This was the first time in three years that I was able to see my daughter. Being that I lived in another state I had to fly out every other weekend no matter how financially difficult it was. I made every weekend visitation and in March of 2022 Leslie was assigned to my case. Leslie answered all my questions and was extremely professional. After many continuances from the other parties I was granted temporary custody of my daughter for the summer. Shortly after this in September I received a deferred judgement granting me sole custody and relocation. Thank you Ellen and Leslie for all your hard work and dedication to me during my case, I am very grateful. I will be keeping Ellen on retainer just in case any legal issues should occur when my daughter has to go back and visit for holidays.

This lawyer is a full on scam! Employed her and her homophobic team to steal our money and leave us worse off in court than we were when hiring her!! DO NOT HIRE HER!! They will charge for calls that didn’t even happen!

This woman is a walking disaster. Basically an SNL character if you have a sense of humor. Unfortunately I don’t since my children are involved.

Worst experience with a lawyer ever. Ignored my calls/emails, never returned calls, failed to fulfill her own dealings/promises, missed the court deadline, and her secretary constantly made promises on her behalf that were never fulfilled. Long story short she ghosted me (despite me over paying her an extra $2000). I advanced her $4000 with the promise I’d receive any unused funds. Well since she ghosted me in may and I never nor the defendant never received our final custody agreement to sign…I formally requested the termination of her services 3 times via email and requested my unused funds (retainer fee) to be returned to me (which is over $2000) and have yet to receive my money or a reply. I still have no final custody agreement because she failed to write it up in a timely manner, and I was told our entire court proceeding is not even on record with the court somehow. I had to find out, through the kindness of the defendant informing me, that our court date (for not having a signed final custody agreement) was rescheduled…still don’t know the new date yet. She has been silent the entire proceeding, actually ridiculed me infront of the hearing officer, the defendant, and his lawyer, and then she literally ghosted me in may. She owes me my unused funds and has yet to even contact me back regarding this or my case which was supposed to be resolved back in may if we had the revised custody agreement to sign. Never had such a horrible experience hiring a lawyer.

All of my questions and serious concerns were answered patiently and kindly. My call was answered within a day. And her professional answers gave great relief that I was speaking to someone who would be honorable. Facing legal matters are filled with anxiety and she eased my concerns to the best ability not just any attorney would understand. Ms Badeau is one in a million to ease one through their fears.

As a father who was never married to my Child's mother, the odds were already stacked against me when trying to alter our custody arrangement. The Firm, those odds and better secure what was best for my daughter and Ms. Leslie helped me overcome those odds. The staff are very professional, and personable. They made me feel more at ease the moment I spoke with them.
