Nicholas May and Elizabeth filed false and defamatory claims with the state against me personally, as well as my company hoping to get money from my company. Not only did their tactics NOT work, we were able to use their silly demand letter as evidence in a defamation suit against their client. In Response to their response: You lost and made it easy for me to sue your client. For anyone who believes their response that an attorney can file a meritless claim against another party, look up Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility, read the lawyers code of ethics, and file a complaint against these guys.

Response from owner

Fabian May & Anderson zealously represents its clients against individuals and employers credibly accused of harassment and discrimination. Those who are accused of the conduct don’t like how hard we fight for our clients. If you want an attorney whose tenacious advocacy will live rent free in the mind of the person you believe has done you wrong for years after the legal fight is over, please contact us for a consultation.

We (Jim, Isabel, Jennie) are so grateful for Nick May, and the Law Firm of Fabian May & Anderson for the outstanding support they provided to help shape our approach on an employment issue we had with our former employer. They helped guide us through a complicated process, which lead to an excellent settlement for all of us. From day one Nick, Nevada, & Linnea, were approachable, patient, kind, compassionate, very prompt with communication, professional, guided by integrity, and extremely knowledgeable in employment law. We would highly recommend Nick, and his team. They truly made a difference in our lives!

We had a great experience with David Redden at Fabian May & Anderson. He was extremely helpful and was able to connect and review our information with us in just a few days. We will go back again if we have any future need and would recommend him to others as well.

Dave Redden, of Fabian May& Anderson did a wonderful job of helping me with the issues I had with my former employer. Dave always had time to take or return my calls and answer my questions. I would highly recommend Dave.

David helped me out so much. I, like most of us, don't spend time in the legal system and so it seemed overwhelming to have to get into it. He explained the processes, kept me informed and answered all my questions. I felt at so much more confident having his representation. I am grateful to David and the whole team at Fabian May & Anderson.

David Redden was incredibly helpful in reviewing my separation agreement. He took the time to go through every detail with me, ensuring I fully understood what I was signing. Beyond his thoroughness, David showed genuine empathy for my situation, which made a difficult process much easier to navigate. I truly appreciated his professionalism, clarity, and compassion.

I am a Attorney but my career is not focused on employment law. When I have an employment law question (or when a friend asks for an employment law Attorney to ask questions) I recommend asking Nick May. He is a highly decorated employment law Attorney and provides clear and practical advice. He is a good listener and thoughtful professional.

I've known Nicholas May for many years. He represented me in a matter in 2002 that was resolved in my favor. I have referred many friends to him over the years for advice and will continue to do so in the future.

As an attorney myself, I don’t reach out to just anyone when I have a question. When I have an employment law question, this is my first call. They will give you straight knowledgeable advice.

I reached out to Fabian May & Anderson with a serious and active case involving retaliation, sex discrimination, and disability discrimination; which has already been accepted by the Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR), signaling legal merit. I provided clear documentation and asked for potential representation. What I received was a generic, copy-and-paste rejection letter with vague references to statute of limitations and no explanation of why my case was declined. When I followed up, I was told the partner who made the decision didn’t even provide internal rationale, meaning my case was dismissed without a substantive review. This isn’t just a missed opportunity to help someone in need, it’s a failure to treat prospective clients with the basic respect of transparency and fairness. Worse, it sends the message that discrimination and retaliation against male professionals in female-dominated industries isn’t taken seriously. If you're looking for a firm that will actually engage with the facts of your case, provide real feedback, and treat you like more than a name in their inbox, I recommend looking elsewhere. EDIT: To FMA; again my statement stands. try again.

Response from owner

Thank you for your message. FMA takes seriously all forms of discrimination and harassment. Unfortunately, we cannot represent every potential client that contacts the firm. We apologize we were unable to accept your matter, but are glad you have taken action with the MDHR if you believe your claim has merit.

Nick May and his team are a group of highly professional, talented and personable individuals! Everyone makes you feel heard, valued and even cracked a joke or two to lighten a tough situation their clients may be in. Trust them to help you with your employment questions/concerns; I would recommend them 5 million times over!

My experience with Fabian May & Anderson, PLLP has been deeply disappointing. I hired them to represent me in a complex employment dispute involving wrongful termination, discrimination, and corporate abuse. Initially, I trusted them to stand by my side and help me fight for justice. However, after months of working together, the firm abruptly withdrew from my case, citing reasons that felt disconnected from the core issues. Rather than sticking by their client during a critical point, they left me without representation, forcing me to seek new legal help in the middle of an ongoing battle. I expected more professionalism and dedication to justice from a firm of this reputation. This experience has left me questioning their commitment to standing up for clients in complex and sensitive cases. If you're looking for a firm that will stand by you through thick and thin, Fabian May & Anderson, PLLP may not be the right choice.

Response from owner

FMA is dedicated to seeing every case through to conclusion. However, ethical rules require the firm and its attorneys to withdraw from representation under certain circumstances. Prior to withdrawal, we always work with the client to address the issue. If the client, however, is unwilling or unable to address the concern giving rise to the ethical concern, we are left with no other choice but to withdraw under those circumstances. The firm rarely finds itself in a situation where ethical issues arise that require it to consider withdrawal.
