Fanelli, Evans & Patel, P.C.

We did not have a good experience with Fanelli, Evans & Patel law firm. It was for an underage DUI. The attorney didn’t really do much at all and the penalty was basically the maximum you can get. The DUI was for a blood alcohol of only 0.04 - half the “of age” legal limit, first offense with no accident or anything. We are still stunned from this outcome. I understand a punishment was needed but 1 yr no license, 6 mos probation, 10 days house arrest and 1 additional year blowing into a breathalyzer to drive is not the outcome expected for a DUI at 0.04 no priors no additional incident such as an accident. Attorney didn’t show 2 different times for court appearances. It would be great to get our money back because they did nothing really. Go somewhere else for good service. IN RESPONSE TO THE FIRM'S RESPONSE: I know and in the end he did the deed. I get all of that. I just didn't see effort on the attorneys part to build a defense. Was the machine that measured the blood level calibrated? Was the person performing the test qualified? Did they have the proper training records? Did he present that 3 PA lawmakers who may have voted for this increase in punishment had DUI's WITH ACCIDENTS and all of them got off with ARD? What about the ones caught without an accident? I bet it was washed off of their records. NO TRACE. Did he tell you that his life changed long before the court dates even were set? Maybe not. His punishment started almost from day 1 after the incident. His career goal totally changed from that moment. He really did it to himself (I get it) but that punishment seems much more harsh than it needed to be. An 0.04 half the legal limit, no accident or aggravating circumstances and ARD is not offered. Is ARD even a thing? How much more minimal of a DUI arrest is there and he couldn't get ARD? Who gets ARD then? Duration for a murderer ~22 years in prison. The duration of my sons punishment 2 years + a career redirect. The attorney negotiated, but didn't really build a defense. Maybe it was undefendable. I think more could have been done. Where was the defense? Where was the fight? In the end, I'm sure this is only a small piece of your business and you may not care. It will totally change my son's life. Hopefully for the better.

Working with Attorney Sud Patel was a great experience from start to finish.
