Warning: Unprofessional, Poor Communication, and Lack of Transparency My experience with Farrimond Castillo & Bresnahan, P.C. was frustrating, unprofessional, and lacked transparency. A simple cease-and-desist letter turned into a drawn-out, costly ordeal, leaving me questioning their practices and ethics. Here’s what happened: They misspelled my name on documents (I don’t even have a middle name), which reflects poor attention to detail. Despite giving them the correct address, they instead billed me for “researching” an address unnecessarily. They also failed to submit the police report to the address provided and I spent hours on the phone with them clarifying instructions. Not only your time is valuable but mine as well. I do not have 3 hours to spend on a phone with conversations that didn’t move my case forward. It took over 2 months until the letter was ready to be sent. I was repeatedly told that other clients were a “priority,” leaving me feeling like my case was not important to them. Over 4 months, I received no invoices, as required by the engagement letter. Suddenly, I was hit with an invoice for thousands of dollars, with no prior notice that my retainer had been fully used. I had already planned to consult a different lawyer, as I was unhappy with their service because I did not have a "deadline". I had a lot of understanding. But I did not want to spend anymore money on the law firm. When I raised concerns, I was told a meeting would be scheduled to address them, but nothing ever happened, leaving my issues unresolved. Same treatment this time. It has been 2 weeks since I received the invoice. I sent emails and called several times in order to discuss the matter in peace and private. Same procedure as before. Now I even wonder if my case was handled the way it should have been. Regarding Their Billing Practices: While their engagement letter allows them to charge for services rendered and apply the retainer without explicit notification, they are required to send regular invoices to keep clients informed. Failing to send invoices for four months is likely a breach of their own agreement and raises questions about their transparency and professionalism. This lack of notice meant I was blindsided by charges, with no opportunity to adjust my expectations or leave the firm earlier. Their billing for unnecessary tasks (such as researching an address I had already provided) and the lack of progress on my case further underscores how poorly they managed my matter. Final Thoughts: This firm’s lack of communication, poor prioritization, and disregard for transparency made what should have been a straightforward task unnecessarily stressful and expensive. If you value professionalism, clear communication, and respect for your time and money, I strongly recommend finding a different law firm. My experience with Farrimond Castillo & Bresnahan, P.C. was a waste of time, resources, and trust.

HIGHLY recommend Dustin Ouellette and Scott Farrimond. Both quickly engaged with legalities involved regarding grandmother's real estate. They handled every aspect throughout a lengthy engagement and ensured my grandmother would be equipped for care, for years to come. Quick responses, second to none informative communication and they often proved other attorney's wrong. When all felt lost, I'm glad I came to them for help. I wouldn't trust anyone else to handle your real estate needs. Truly forever grateful and I made the call to them.

@Col Ewen - this person has never met with any of the attorneys for Farrimond Castillo & Bresnahan, P.C. and does not have personal knowledge of any facts he is reciting in his review. He is not a client nor an adverse party to any matter being handled by the firm. By saying "I have become aware" shows he is relying on hearsay. @Walter Kobylak - this person is not a client of the firm, but was an adverse party to a matter being handled by Steven Medina. Mr. Kobylak fails to state in his review that there is a Court Order which gives the mother custody of the child in question as of July 27, 2018. Mr. Kobylak was ORDERED to surrender the child he had taken to Arizona.
