Doesn’t return calls or messages. Also made a rude personal comment to me. Asked if I was lost when he saw me in a bookstore. I have a graduate degree, and I am a published author. Look at all the other 1 star ⭐️ reviews and really consider if you want to work with this guy.

Shawn Farris said he could help me dispute a contract with my previous employer and get me what I was owed after paying his $50 consultations fee. I didn’t hear from him for 2 months after. He kept saying he was busy and would get to it. 2 months later he said he had a conference call with them and they sent a check for $1500 dollars. They owe me $60k! Then no contact after that! I got a bill from him for $1480! He won’t respond to emails or call back after leaving messages with his receptionist. Not very professional at all! I paid him and am now working with a real professional.

Chad Utley is our absolute go-to for any legal question we have. Knowledgeable, understanding, and kind. Wonderful human and wonderful attorney.

Shawn Farris is an energetic, articulate pleasant person. However his personality is more convincing than his performance. It took him 14 months to complete an issue which should have been completed in weeks. During this whole time I had to continually prod him to move. I became so frustrated that I had to write him a letter threatening to dismiss him before he would respond. Then he promised to report the next week and make a weekly report. He did neither one. I finally began to communicate with his assistant and she and I pushed him to complete the project. Years ago he was reprimanded by the court for some of these same performance issues. He apparently has not changed his work behavior. Retain him at your own risk!

Talk about the greatest divorced lawyer in town. If you want to get it done quick and easy. Here is where to go, in less then a month and right before my birthday. I was referred to Mr Utley by my legal plan. It took over a month to get an appointment to see him, and another 2 months waiting for the letter he promised but never wrote. When his staff finally responded to multiple inquiries, their answer was to set up another appointment and start over. No thank you!

If you have a complex case I would seek out different council. Extremely unorganized, communication and time management skills are next to non existent. Aside from that very intelligent, friendly and helpful secretary. Best of luck to you.
