My initial and first experience with Federal Practice Group has been extremely positive. From the outset, the firm demonstrated professionalism and organization. I would like to specifically acknowledge Kristen Edwards, the client intake specialist. Kristen was professional, attentive, and compassionate throughout the intake process. She carefully received and organized all the relevant information, clearly explained next steps, and efficiently coordinated the appointment with the attorney. Her calm, respectful, and supportive communication made a challenging situation feel manageable and well-guided.

After changes of attorneys several times. And allowed the agency to drag on without any repercussion the case lasted almost 10 years before we got an agreement in federal court. It was known the agency wouldn’t comply or do it correctly, and I was told by the judge, make sure it’s done correctly before you can retire or it’s gonna be difficult to fix. That was a year and a half ago and the senior partner. Deborah D’Agostino dropped the ball and refuses to return emails, phone calls any communications whatsoever. I did the audit myself to prove the discrepancies her paralegal created that cover letter and here. I am still sitting a month later no response. I cannot communicate with the agency because I am represented? Absolutely horrible. She got paid by me and various Court winnings and drops the ball and now it’s the most serious part of ruining my retirement money. I’ve called almost every day and she doesn’t return any calls whatsoever. Not even an email nothing. Knowing what she’s doing and doesn’t care she got paid a whole lot more than I will ever get paid and now she’s sealing that deal And ruining my retirement calculations forever. The judge is going to receive a letter and so is the bar.

The lawyers simply missed huge details. Allowed the opposing lawyers to make clearly obvious false statements about facts without challenging them. Lawyers did not want to make the issue about statistics, but the issue was clearly about statistics. I would attribute this to the lawyers discomfort with statistics, but it was inexcusable. In the end, the Judge cited 100% inaccurate statistics used by the opposing lawyers verbatim in the decision. Without getting into greater detail, but Federal Practice Group lawyers allowed the opposing lawyers to get away with saying something happened at a faster rate in three different years when it did not happen at all in those three different years. If it went completely unnoticed, that would be one thing, but I tried to get them to focus on the statistics and they refused. They used a chart that was badly made and far inferior to what I made. We lost the case in large part to our inability to counteract simply false statements about statistics and that is directly attributable to the Federal Practice Group Lawyers. The statistics were on our side and they let them beat us.

All, I unequivocally recommend Carol (Saroja and Daisy) as your next attorney. Specifically, if you need 5-star representation, go with Ms. Thompson post haste. Why? She is highly effective, brilliant, thoughtful, creative and most of all; she accomplishes the goal of zealous advocacy without insult, injury or raising her voice. She communicates as well to her client (me) often, as she does to judges. Furthermore, her working knowledge of legal standards and your issues – even if based on first impression - is first-class. When? If you have a current attorney (fire them, I mean that with all sincerity), retain her and thank me later. Not all attorneys are created equally. If you are looking for an attorney, bring her on board immediately. I witnessed first hand, her ability to digest voluminous information – distill what was relevant and irrelevant and make cogent arguments. That goes double in a small area where the paucity of effective counsel leaves much to be desired. You have a diamond in the rough with Carol and her team. She does not use superfluous words or enter anything into evidence to make the case for opposing counsel. She understands the burden of proof and uses it effectively and surgically. Background? For context (what is it worth), I never write reviews. Everyone’s situation is different. I also put little opinion in the faith of others. However, Carol’s representation was so beyond perfection, that I believe I owe it to everyone reading this, that you hire her immediately. What’s more, if it matters, I have used five attorneys now, so I believe I know what good and bad lawyering looks like (or should like). Carol represented me in a sensitive matter. She took the matter to its logical conclusion and prepared me and represented my interest before the tribunal very well. First, her legal acumen is without peer. Opposing counsel, while over-matched, was a worthy adversary. Nevertheless, she objected when necessary. She also did not do anything to showboat or appease me for the sake of “getting even”. Additionally she made well-reasoned, articulated and ultimately effective arguments on my behalf. Second, her demeanor is even keel. Her temperament is the same. She knows how to calm you down, while also laying the crumbs for the trier of fact to find in your favor. To conclude, her sunny disposition is just who she is; a good-hearted person. However, do not let that disarm you, she is legally lethal when necessary. That said, if you need to win and “beat the case,” Carol is who you should go with immediately.

Scheduled a consultation 30+ days in advance with Pitts Wiley and then on the day of the consultation abruptly canceled without reason. Causing me harm because I am on a 90 day deadline to file in federal court and 30 of that was wasted by Mr. Wiley. I also have not received my $300 that was paid for the consultation. Wow
