Jamey did a great job representing me in my traffic violation cases. He was honest and effectively communicated everything I needed to know as everything played out. He is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend if you're facing more serious traffic infractions. Office staff was nice, too.

Jamey Maswick and his team were extremely clear, thorough, and effective in representing me in a matter in Tupper Lake Town Court. Jamey's suggestions for how to proceed always made sense and his approach to an opposing counsel who was not terribly responsive wound up being very effective. I'm thoroughly pleased with the result. Also, while lawyers are not cheap, I never felt that I was being overbilled in the least (in fact, at times I think Jamey and the team at FM were judiciously conservative in their billing of time!), and my money was, I think, very well spent.

Although I did have some dealings in the past with this firm. I'm not a bit happy right now. And the only reason that they got 1 star is because they won't let you give less than that. I'd give him a big fat 0. Not happy at all with Jamie Maswick would not e hear me out when asking for his health and representation. Cut me short and said find someone in Albany. Thanks for nothing. Nice try to to save face ,but you didn't say anything about it not being your type of case or anything of the sort ! All you said was, not interested find someone from Albany and you hadn't even heard the most important points of the case !!

James Maswick, of Flink Maswick Law, is the reason for bad lawyer jokes. There are no words sufficient enough to express what a terrible job he did for our property closing. Luckily, not a penny of our money went into his pocket. My husband and I were the property sellers, and James Maswick was the attorney for the buyers. What should have been a two week timeframe to closing turned into over three months due to James's negligent lack of professionalism. It was a cash deal on a small vacant parcel on a pond in northern NY. It started with the buyers attorney asking for a 30 day extension of due diligence in order to look up specs on code for building a residence on the property (which were already in the deed). At the end of that 30 day period, James still had not looked into any specs for his clients and asked for another 10 days. Throughout both of these processes, James obviously was not doing his job and would go "missing" for days or even a week at a time in order to drag it out longer. This 30 day due diligence period went on for over three months, literally, through all of his unprofessionalism and lack of communication. He kept coming up with "issues" that his office already had answers and paperwork for, but had gone unread. Even a month after a very long and drawn out closing, we realized that James had not actually contacted the people his clients supposedly had asked for paperwork from. He lied about certain circumstances in order to buy himself more time, which he never used to address his clients concerns. We wouldn't wish business dealings with James Maswick on our worst enemies (okay, well maybe a few enemies!). His performance was beyond unprofessional. He was inconsiderate, uncaring, pompous, and honestly, both my husband and I have no idea how he retains licensing in the state of NY. For the record, I have bought and sold real estate, without an attorney or an agent, in three separate states before this transaction, and working with James was, by FAR, the worst experience in real estate I have ever had.
