I had an excellent experience with Ed Formisano and his team. He resolved a difficult situation for me and was encouraging and professional throughout. I would absolutely refer Formisano & Company to anyone - especially if you are looking for a compassionate and hard working team that will have your back. Thank you Ed, Diane and everyone on the team who supported me through a difficult and ultimately successful legal issue.

I do not recommend, I hired Edward to represent me with an employment issue, he started off bold and strong, at this time I felt great with my decision in hiring him. He served my employer with a letter, putting him on notice, stating " Please advise me if you have interest in engaging in a dialogue regarding ....." When my employer contacted Edward to discuss, Edward told him that he could not converse with him, he could only speak about the matter with his lawyer (which he did not have). He then suggested to my employer hiring his good friend, which my employer did. From that moment on Edward completely backed down, his responses completely contradicted themselves, usually I was answered with "Ummmm" and "Uhhh". Every conversation I was left with more questions then I even started with. He likes to keep all communication on the phone, which means no documentation of the conversation, I quickly stopped allowing phone conversations and made all communication happen through email. Email responses from him were VERY short. Closing the entire negotiation was a nightmare, I did not allow Edward to go with me to sign the final documents. My retainer which I willingly paid was $5000, not sure if he thought that this was going to be a quick score but I can not fathom that it is ethically right to tell someone "I can only speak with your lawyer", to then be told that they do not have one, then suggesting your good friend to represent them. Once the other attorney was hired, Edward completely backed down. In the state of Rhode Island you can absolutely self represent (if my employer wanted to). Again, I do not recommend, and I think a lot of the reviews posted are fake. My review of Edward does not include his staff, Diane in the office is fabulous and I appreciate her quick communication always.

I was deeply impressed by the level of expertise Mr. Formisano brought to our conversations. More importantly, he was kind and compassionate throughout a difficult situation, and he was careful to explain each step of the process along the way.

Ed was recommended to me by a family member, and I’m so glad that I contacted him. I had never needed legal help and wasn’t sure where to start, but Ed was extremely knowledgeable and reassuring regarding my situation. His secretary was also lovely to chat with. Both were genuinely compassionate and a pleasure to work with, which was not the experience I was expecting to have. Hopefully I don’t need Ed again in the future, but if I do, I won’t hesitate to reach out.

In the past I used this attorney for my daughters case and we had another attorney in the office on the case she was great and very helpful so I didn’t search anywhere else when I needed one for myself recently I went with formisamo law a 2nd time I was told I’d get a call to go over my case either the day before or morning of I never got that call was totally unprepared for my hearing. He did represent me at my hearing, but he interviewed me prior. He could’ve asked better questions. Of myself the claimant and the defendant I am still awaiting a decision so I’m not sure yet if we’ve won but I never received a call from them after the hearing either he even went as far as to say he didn’t have any more time to question the defendant because he has to go to court Last time I checked, I was as good of a paying customer as anyone else I booked my hearing over a month in advance And if you didn’t have time to take my case, you didn’t have to it was totally unprofessional and I will not be calling them in the future

After losing my job unexpectedly, I really didn’t know what I was going to do. I called Ed Formisano, and his assistant, Diane, answered the phone. I explained my circumstances to her, and she couldn’t have been more sympathetic or compassionate, and assured me that Ed would take good care of me. Ed spoke with me later the same day, and I agreed to meet with him in person the following day. We came up with a game plan, and Ed took it from there. Ed and Diane were in constant communication with me during the process, and whenever I contacted them, I received an e-mail or phone response within 24 hours. Ed was able to negotiate a severance agreement that was much more appropriate than what had been originally offered. I would highly recommend Formisano and Company if you are having any employment issues that require legal attention. Ed and Diane are completely knowledgeable in this area, and will see that you receive the best compensation possible, according to your circumstances. I would happily use them again if the need ever arises.

I had the pleasure of working with Ed Formisano on my employment case. Ed was unlike most attorneys I have met. He was very knowledgeable about employment law but he was also genuinely empathetic regarding my feelings and what I was going through during this extremely stressful period. I just met with them today and let me tell you i have NO IDEA why anyone would write a bad review on them . They were both nothing but nice . Diane was so sweet and kind even offered me a water while i waited . At first i had that intimidation factor before walking in as with any lawyer you go to but once i got in it felt so welcoming and they both seemed very sincere and felt like they actually cared . The husband was awesome very down to earth and very cool and understanding of my situation and i like the fact he was willing to work with me I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THIS FIRM TO ANYONE I GIVE IT 5 STARS NO QUESTIONS ASKED VERY NICE PEOPLE . Glad i came across them
