I hired Annie Francis as a GAL for my son, expecting her to advocate in his best interest. Unfortunately, that did not happen. She failed to follow up with my son’s pediatrician and teachers, made a life-changing custody recommendation based on an unverified assumption that I was homeless, and never communicated those concerns to me beforehand. I only learned the reason for her recommendation after the fact, during a private conversation. Additionally, I was unexpectedly threatened with contempt over fees that were not court-ordered, and my request for itemized billing was ignored. Her conduct was unprofessional and did not reflect a child-centered approach.

Annie does great work; I would recommend her for all people. She would only suggest the best for your children (like if you're homeless or a drug addict so that you can get the help you need).

I highly reccomend Annie. She shows up and shows out for her clients and I will forever appreciate her efforts/success in getting my half of my mothers will ❤️

Annie went above and beyond to help my husband and I to get our will in order to ensure the best care for our child and allocation of our resources if something would happen. She made the process very easy, as we both work full time, and made sure that we both understood everything fully. We will absolutely use her services again for any of our legal needs.

Annie assisted us with a child custody issue and in dealing with the state on a custody determination issue. I'm an attorney practicing in a different discipline. I am a retired attorney who practiced with Ms Francis for a number of years. In my experience, she exhibited the highest standards of practice, in both her understanding of the law and in her exceptional treatment of her clients. I referred many folks to her for representation following my retirement. I would not hesitate to continue to refer folks to her now. As for the lone individual who objects to Ms Francis as an attorney, I think the basis for her complaint is that there has been no hearing regarding child custody. If the Court continues and resets a hearing based on the request of the opposing counsel or by the order of the Court itself, that is beyond the power of Ms Francis. Family Court issues are the most important issues in the court system, and it is understandable that parties to a case become frustrated, but it makes no sense to blame your attorney when a continuance occurs. I would encourage anyone with a family legal matter to entrust your case to Ms Francis.
