I cannot say enough great things about Kurt. He truly saved my life during one of the most difficult and complicated times I have ever gone through. I have had the privilege of living a life that, at times, has required legal representation, and over the past several years I have worked with Harris L on multiple occasions. He has represented me through my divorce, child support matters, custody proceedings, a protective order, this case, and most recently, an appeal related to child support. In my most recent matter, my court date was less than a week away when I consulted with Harris, and he agreed to take my case on very quickly. The case itself had many unexpected twists and turns, but throughout the entire process, Harris kept me informed and advocated for me consistently. Yeah it was all great in the beginning. I told them that there was no probate for the will in their County. But yet they wanted to take weeks to walk over to the courthouse and verify themselves, of course charging me for every minute of walking. Then after over a month when all I needed was a letter drafted and sent and it hadn't been done.. I had to beg for it basically. Then because they refused to speak to me over the phone and nothing but emails of course you know they kept sending me draft after draft after draft I mean come on it's a freaking letter. And then when I got the answer that I needed they suggested that of course they look into something else which you know it takes 2 seconds to Google that the information that he came up with. And yet at the end of all of this my $2,000 trust is completely gone. Without an itemized invoice that I have repeatedly asked for and not only have they not giving it to me they're not even acknowledge that I've asked for it. Be very wary of this firm and be very careful of anything you give them in advance. There's a freaking way on the God's given Earth that I believe they're writing a letter and sending it should cost $2,000 it's outrageous and yet they still let me know exactly what they charged towards the trust. So tired of being taking advantage of

Paul Dull took on my case last minute and had necessary paperwork to the judge immediately. He never gave me a hard time about needing counsel last minute and took my case seriously wanting me to get everything that was fair and equal for me. He’s so good-the opposing party completely dropped the case after I hired him! Super down to earth, and TIMELY! I never had to sit around waiting on an update regarding my case he always kept me informed. I will 1000% be requesting him if I need representation in the future! Update 10/1/2025 = legalized bait and switch? Certainly legal extortion. AVOID them unless you got triple what they estimate, in cash and up front; or you may be left in a lurch like I have been. They refuse to talk to me. They refuse to explain their wildly inconsistent finance changes. They refuse to try and work with me in any way. I’d give 0 stars if I could. Older review: You get what you pay for. They aren’t cheap, but Kurt, and everyone at Friedman was also helpful and courteous. I’m not the easiest person to work with as I am on the autism spectrum and have ADHD. I tried to represent myself in updating custody, and failed. I appealed the case and hired Kurt Brickman (one of the lawyers at Friedman’s) to represent me. He did a great job explaining my very complex and nuanced case to the judge and I walked away with more time with my kids than I expected!!! And that’s the important thing. I had 1 trial and 1 settlement conference and had a bill of almost $20k ($9k retainer paid up front, plus that almost again.). When I couldn’t pay the remaining $10k immediately after the first trial, they refused to represent me for the six month follow up. I tried at least 4 times to talk to there accounting people to setup something and flatly refused to even respond to my emails, other than my lawyer. But he also billed me for hours of his time that he supposedly discussed the financial matter of my case with others in the firm. But not to me. Lesson learned: 1) if you’re a man, avoid court at all costs!!! It doesn’t matter how good you are or bad they are, if you’ve gone to court you’ve already lost. 2) if you have to go to court, have a lawyer. Don’t be nice, or pinch pennies. Get a good one like these guys, but be prepared to pay. 3) if you have a lawyer, take whatever they quote you at the beginning, quadruple it, and maybe that’s a solid budget for legal fees. 4) Take whatever you think you might expect to PAY in child support and double it. 5) Take whatever you think you’ll receive (lol) in support and half it. 6) lower your expectations, like a lot.

Tori Zicker is the worst, most incompetent person imaginable to represent you. I believed I had great representation, coming from Friedmans law firm. She deserves zero stars. Victoria/Tori Zicker was my divorce attorney April 23,2023. My other attorney I used the same day for another case, of which he and Stephen Bloomquest my spouses attorney dropped, talked to my spouse's attorney Stephen Bloonquest who agreed that my spouse would drop her protective order against me if I dropped my protective order against my spouse so that we can have an amicable divorce. My attorney who represented in the first case which was dropped, walked over to Tori and I and stated this to us. So I dropped my protective order, believing my spouse had dropped hers. Stephen Bloomquest lied to get me in the courtroom knowing of Tori Zickers lack of knowledge. Within seconds, Tori was escorting me into the courtroom for a protective order trial against me, by my spouse. My spouses attorney had lied to my attorney, and yes my attorney of the case that was dropped has recently confirmed this to me. Tori should not have let me enter the courtroom. I didn't understand what was going on. Tori let my star witness come into the courtroom so she couldn't testify on my behalf. A two year protective order was placed on me. I was put out of my home made homeless with my son and 2 dogs. I'm still not divorced due to the noncompliance of my spouse's attorney not responding to or delivering requested documents upon my new attorneys request. Tori Zicker has destroyed my life, financially and emotionally. I fired her right after the trial. I questioned, on that day, if she truly is an attorney! I don't know if she is with Friedmans Law Firm now, But she was when I had hired her. If she isn't still at Friedmans Law Firm, beware if you come across her name at any other law firms. She's most incompetent and should have her license revoked. Having just realized what really happened that day, I am in the process of taking legal action against Tori Zicker for legal malpractice.
