⸻ ⭐ 1 Star – Misleading and Overpriced Bob Gallagher Jr. and his firm were misleading, overpriced, and unprofessional. I paid $10,000 upfront for what was represented as a flat-rate fee. Before hiring him, I asked if he was a criminal defense attorney—his firm assured me he was—yet his primary practice is divorce/family law. Had we known, we never would have hired him. He only visited my fiancé twice, didn’t personally appear at the initial court date (sent another attorney), and the jail failed to transport my fiancé. He failed to disclose he is the Mayor of Bettendorf, which is a conflict of interest. The billing was outrageous: $1,050 for a 10-minute call, $1,750 for a 2-minute call, $450 for a 2-minute call on 12/31, $525 to draft basic paperwork, and charges for calls my fiancé made or for 200 pages of copies that cost pennies. Charges don’t match the work performed. We terminated them within a week. Out of $10,000, they initially refunded $5,100, then $1,600 after complaining. This felt like a cash grab, not legal representation. I do not recommend Bob Gallagher Jr. for criminal defense.

I love going to the law firm. They are very professional. I have worked with Bob Gallagher Sr. And he has done very well with all the issues that need to be handled. I would recommend them to everyone.

Peter Gierut will take your money, not respond to you, and lie to you. He told me what we needed to win my "clear cut" case and didn't bring the evidence to court. His whole case was hoping to get a good judge. I feel scammed.

"The Legal Eagle Who Forgot His Client's Nest" Oh, where to begin with this legal luminary? Let's dive into the saga of a lawyer who seemingly took "client representation" to mean "client misrepresentation." Firstly, this barrister, whom we'll call "Counsel Chaos" Aka Bob Gallagher Jr , decided that settling a case was a grand idea—without the minor detail of his client's approval. Imagine going to a restaurant, ordering for your friend, and then telling them, "Surprise! You're having squid ink pasta!" That's Bob Gallagher Jr for you, except instead of pasta, it's a legal settlement that could make your life taste like squid ink. Now, let's talk about his connections. Rumor has it, and by rumor, I mean whispers on the wind that sound suspiciously like posts on X, that Counsel Chaos has more connections to the DA than a spider has to its web. These connections are not just for a friendly game of golf; they're the kind that make you wonder if the scales of justice are just slightly, ever so slightly, tipped in favor of a cozy chat over legal ethics. And the pièce de résistance? Withholding vital body camera evidence. This isn't just dropping the ball; this is picking up the ball, looking at it, and then deciding to juggle it while blindfolded. If evidence were a key to solving a case, Bob Gallagher Jr would be the locksmith who forgot how to make keys. In summary, if you're looking for a lawyer who plays fast and loose with your approval, has a Rolodex that might as well be a who's who of the DA's office, and treats evidence like it's an optional side dish at a legal banquet, then Bob Gallagher Jr. is your man. But if you're after representation that actually represents you, perhaps look elsewhere—maybe even consider representing yourself; you might just do a better job. He is what known in the military community as a Blue Falcon!

Was able to be seen for a consultation quickly. Friendly and attentive environment. The attorney I saw didn't make be feel pressured for time and was able to answer all my questions.

I have had a really wonderful experience working with Peter Gierut. I did a dozen consultations before settling on a lawyer, and Peter was incredibly reasonable, knowledgeable, and attentive to making sure my son’s needs were at the forefront during negotiations in and out of court, which is paramount in a child custody case. I don’t have a single criticism from my experience working with him or the firm. It can be really difficult to find someone who knows their stuff and provides wise counsel, and I am very grateful to have had him in my corner during this legal process.

We were looking for a Magistrate Judge to marry us and came across Peter Geiret's name. When I first called he spent 10 minutes explaining the whole process and was so easy to talk to. I scheduled our marriage with the receptionist a few weeks later and he called a week before the marriage to go over everything and was so nice. When we arrived to the office everyone was very accommodating and Peter made us feel very comfortable. I am so glad we chose this firm and chose Peter to perform the ceremony!

Didn't do his job as a professional lawyer! Lost photos of my house being destroyed. Also, never returned phone calls or text messages. Miss court date on a eviction and judge dismissed case!

First couple of interactions were fine, then he just ghosted us all together. He wouldn’t even respond when we asked him if he was too busy to help us.
