I provided Mr. Hontanon with the highest level of professional representation in connection with my handling of his personal injury case. I represented him on a reduced fee and I eventually referred him to physical therapy specialists, who were able to completely resolve his physical complaints, within a relatively short period of time, after his own medical providers were unable to do so.<br>His case was resolved for the Policy limits without filing a lawsuit or incurring additional significant legal/office costs. His case settled a few days before the Stay-at-Home Order was issued by Governor Newsom. Unfortunately, Mr. Hontanon unreasonably and unnecessarily refused to sign the settlement draft, after requesting that I personally deliver it to him at the gym where he was employed. After presenting him with a written accounting of the settlement proceeds, he refused to sign the draft. He withheld completing the settlement for several weeks. There was never any corrections, found by anyone, to be necessary of the settlement accounting provided to him before the quarantine went into effect. My secretary and I worked very hard on his behalf. I merely wanted to be paid, in accordance with our retainer agreement, for the services that were provided.
