I called this office to discuss a potential medical malpractice case and the male attorney I spoke with told me the firm would not be taking on my case and then just hung up on me. The receptionist was kind but I would proceed with caution when calling for consults....

First, we are sorry that you were so displeased with the discussion regarding your potential medical malpractice claim, however, the statement in your review that the attorney "just hung up" on you is not accurate. As you are aware, the attorney attempted to explain that he did not believe he could be of assistance to you with your claim or your dissatisfaction with having to pay for those medical services that you found to be unacceptable. We pride ourselves on being honest with potential clients when we do not think we can help them and we believe that is simply what occurred during this telephone conversation.
This law firm is the best in the business! When I was injured in an auto accident they treated me like family and helped me every step of the way to get the treatment and settlement I deserved! Very attentive and caring for every client. I would definitely recommend to anyone with a personal injury and need a trustworthy lawyer to help get you throughout your case🙂

After I was rear-ended in a car accident, I contacted Gelber & O'Connell. One of the attorneys promptly called and helped me navigate through the legal maze in a kind and professional way. I had suffered neck, back, and hip injuries, but the attorneys and their competent staff were patient and compassionate as we worked through the lengthy process. I had been T-boned in yet another accident several years before and had retained a different firm. The difference between that firm and Gelber is enormous. While I was greatly disappointed by the other firm, Stephanie and Herschel Gelber were extremely attentive, knowledgable and offered superior legal counsel. I did not feel "like a number" and was treated with respect throughout the case. Without qualification, I recommend Gelber & O'Connell.

I live in pain, everyday. Pain is a personality changer and it makes everyday exhausting and complicated. I asked questions, got no answers. I was asked many questions, not allowed to answer without being interrupted, disrespected AND threatened to have my case dropped based as problematic. No support. No communication and Stephanie Gelber scolded me, my occasions because I was upset and emotional. My life is upside down but please yell at me. Im going to contact the bar assoc and whoever else I can. No one deserves to be treated like nothing

We worked very hard on your claim, spending a lot of time on the telephone and via email discussing with and answering all questions and issues raised over the last eleven months, to the extent it was in our purview to do so. You, however, refused to or simply did not want to listen to what we had to say. We pride ourselves on being honest with clients, even when to do so includes providing information which we understand can be difficult for them to hear. Your negative review also came as a surprise to us in view of your March 6, 2020 email praising our law firm and thanking everyone at Gelber & O’Connell, “from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done, so far and continue to do”. In that same email, you then apologized to the team at Gelber & O’Connell for your past behavior toward our staff. The only conceivable thing that has occurred since that time which could have changed your very positive opinion of our law firm was the frank discussion we had with you on the date you wrote your negative review. Despite all of this, we still wish you much success.
