I was represented by Gencarelli and Rimassa Law Firm for a informed consent case where an Urologist did not inform me of the risks of a certain medical procedure. This was a very challenging case because the operation was performed in the USA and most of my supporting documents were from Doctors and hospitals in Colombia. All of these records were in Spanish. Melissa and Nick were very patient and diligent inspite of these difficulties. They acted very profesionally and ethically. Their persistence and legal skills yielded an out of the court settlement that was very skillfully negotiated by Melissa. She along with Nick very artfully brought and end of a difficult case with a great settlement. I was very pleased with their representation.

After reviewing my Complaint carefully, Mr. Rimassa determined that I had a viable case. He also had no problem representing me in Warren County, although his office is in Bergen County. As things progressed, Mr. Rimassa kept me well informed at all times, advising me throughout the whole process about what to expect in the proceedings, including depositions, and the timeline of litigation. He was very precise in the information he needed from me and was always prompt in answering my telephone calls and e—mails. Mr. Rimassa was very professional and extremely astute, but he also had compassion for my situation. At one point, the defendant’s attorney offered to go to mediation to potentially settle the case outside of a court trial. Mr. Rimassa tirelessly fought for me in mediation until a resolution was reached that I found very satisfactory. Even after the fact, he continued to work on my behalf to negotiate with my secondary insurance to lower its lien, and was ultimately successful. It was obvious from the start that Mr. Rimassa knows his stuff and is a fighter, going above and beyond for me. I highly recommend both him and his law firm!

After receiving a judgement from the Office of the Attorney General Division of Consumer Affairs, I proceeded to try and convert it to lien. Overwhelmed with researching case law and venue to file paperwork with the proper court, I decided to get help even though the matter was a summary action and thought it was going to be easy. While researching statutes in AVVO, I came across Melissa's profile which included debt collection. She sat down with me and reviewed all of my paperwork. She prepared all my documents and filings.
