This man took my money and didn't even attempt to defend me. He charged me 3k+. I still haven't seen my children, I am being forced to comply while the other part gets away with not following court orders. And after all this. He had the nerve to renounce my case. Told me he would take it back once he got back. And I haven't been called. Going on 3 years of a divorce, if he would have been any good. I would have been divorced 2 years ago. Do not hire him. Find a real lawyer. Not this great value version of one.

NEVERRRRR HIRE THIS GUY MY DAUGHTER WAS TAKEN FROM ME BY HER MOTHER AT A VERY YOUNG AGE AND THIS MAN DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN MY CASE TO LEGITIMATE MY GIRL AND NOW IM NOT EVEN ABLE TO BRING IT BACK TO COURT WITH A COMPETENT ATTORNEY HES A JOKE AND LAZY AS HELL OTHERS MIGHT BE MORE MONEY BUT THATS CAUSE THEY ACTUALLY DO THE WORK THIS MAN ASKED ME THE SAME QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER AGAIN DIDNT CALL A SONGLE WITNESS I HAD FAMILY COME FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AND HE CALLED NO ONE I WAS THE PLAINTIFF BUT BECAUSE OF HIM I SHORTLY BECAME THE ONE ON TRIAL

Attorney dropped all his cases and stated going on medical leave. I called him before he filed motion to be dismissed as counsel from case as I was at the end of my case which started in Feb 2020 and wanted to finalize everything and file for contempt of court because spouse stopped paying child support and came and got vehicle court granted me but he ignored me and I got the notice he was dropping me. Now funny thing is that was in March 2022 and I just seen him in court on September 27 2022 so how did he retire when he’s still in court. I tried getting my money back but his fees are non refundable but that should be illegal since he never finished performing his services he was contracted to do so that voids the contract. I see if I fired him that he would of kept the money but I didn’t and he’s still practicing so that theft of funds. At this point we all should contact Georgia Law of Board and file a complaint with the BBB.

I had the best experience with Gerald Akin with my divorce. He was kind , honest, and did his job well !!!!! I recommend him for any service you may need.

Terrible experience with him. I thought about divorce and paid for his services, but anytime I had a question as to what to expect or do regarding divorce (1st timer) his only reply was I can’t tell you whether or not you want a divorce. Anyways, I changed my mind and am with my husband working things out and he refuses to refund ANY of the money I paid for his services.Over $2,500, he says it’s a non refundable retainer. If he’s not working or retiring he is no longer retained for services in my mind.

Do not hire this man!! We paid him $824.00 to assist my son with his divorce and all he did was draw up the paperwork then had the nerve to say I'm going on medical leave that's the last we heard from this joker. Please don't waste your time and money on this fool!!

This is the worst firm I have ever encountered…. He is very rude to his employee and his customers. He got my case mixed up with someone else and then when he was notified about the error, he didn’t even apologized. Now I had a court date and he never showed to my court and never answered the phone. If I can give him zero stars I would. He just need to retire because he is so unprofessional.

I called in to try to obtain him in a divorce case and he was very very short and rude with me. Even hung the phone up in my face. Do Not hire this guy. He feels as if he is inferior to the public.

Mr. Akin handle my divorce, and let me say he is a very professional man. Anything I needed answered or had questions his office was able to give me the answer. I really love his office clerk Nicole she was very understanding and was there to help me with anything I needed I would recommend this lawyer for anyone who is trying to get a divorce. He got me everything I asked for my divorce and always stayed in contact with me

I would be remissed not to say,the same day I hired Mr. Akin,he hit the floor running! I prayed and prayed to God for months to help me get the help I needed for my case. Let's just say, he's an On time God! The receptionist,Ms.Nicole OMG,very sympathetic, compassionate and just sweet! If they were putting on a front,I can't tell!
