After dealing with Gertsberg Licata I felt as though others will benefit from knowledge from my extremely poor experience. I reached out for a workplace dispute as they have a specialed attorney (Mr Lorenzon) for my profession. I had to pay a $500 consultation fee for him to get started. His only options for consultations are at 8 pm due to the fact that he wears too many other hats and literally has no time to actually be an attorney. My $500 phone consultation consisted of him putting me on speaker phone during his drive home in which I was not given full attention and I could hear traffic noise and his car blinkers going off in the background. Also spent the entire time just telling me where to apply for jobs and how his daughter is going to be flying for Delta....I called to get a consultation to fix a workplace record dispute not to get job hunting career advice. He asked me for things that weren't relevant to the situation just to fill in the expected 30 min consultation time. After he reviewed my documents he seemed to not really evaluate the case, had no strategy to move forward, and it didn't sound like he would even be fighting to get my record fixed. Within the email I was told it would now cost me $5,000 to get started. I wrote back asking if we could start with a demand letter so I didn't have to pay the $5,000 retainer right away in which Jason was too busy to respond so Mr Licata responded. He told me if I wasn't willing to pay the $5,000 then seek legal advice elsewhere. This place gave me zero affirmations that I would be represented properly and basically had zero strategy yet wanted thousands of dollars up front. After reading other reviews I'm glad I didn't pay the retainer. I highly recommend to seek legal advice elsewhere.

The overall lack of legal knowledge with this firm is something that should convince anyone to find someone else for their attorney needs. When executing legal paperwork it was done incorrectly which caused the county court office to decline the paperwork. In direct quote from the county “they should have known better”. If you read other reviews they have a history of making bad mistakes. These attorneys should be avoided, find ones that know what they are doing.

Max is fantastic to work with. He's sharp, zealous, and tireless. I've referred clients to him and he's been attentive to developing situations at all hours of the day/night. I feel very comfortable having Max and the GL team handling any legal matters that come up. Highly recommended.

Five stars are not high enough for Jon and Jeanie. I have an unusual lawsuit that I was in desperate need of help. I consulted with some other attorneys that either did not want to get involved in a case like mine or it was ok for them to take my money to do nothing (I should list the names so you don't use them, but no need to look any further). The first conversation with Jon, I knew I found my new dynamic duo. Jon and Jeanie are amazing in so many ways. They jumped right in and got the ball rolling in every direction. They are human, have compassion, detailed, punctual, professional, knowledgeable, straight forward, and explain things to me in normal terminology. Every aspect of my case, they have completed above and beyond my expectations. They have taken an extremely scary situation and have eased my mind with their hard work and determination. I could not ask for better.

I had the unfortunate pleasure to hire this law firm for a real estate deal dispute. I ended up filing a grievance against them with the Office of the Disciplinary Counsel for incompetence, disloyalty, fraud, misconduct, not communicating, not getting informed consent, unprofessional behavior, and unsupported charges. The firm did not give me vital information in order to make informed decisions, did not consult, failed to evaluate my case properly, didn’t have a strategy, did not fight for me, they argued for the defense, they conducted unauthorized and unnecessary work which they charged against my retainer, they always wanted to discuss things on the phone rather than in emails because they would deny and misrepresent facts after these calls. Based on my experience with this firm it was clear to me that all they wanted is the retainer and simply relayed messages between parties, pushed papers and conducted unnecessary work to justify using up the retainer. Once I started to point these things out, their team suggested I find another law firm, hurting my case even further. I contacted one of their partners with my complaints who ignored every single point I made and evidence I provided and refused to adjust the charges. As such, I filed a suit against them.

The partners of this firm run a great business and value the satisfaction of their clients. The front desk and paralegals are great too. I would not recommend working with any attorney at this firm who hasn't achieved partner status, however.

Attorney Wilson has proven herself as a skilled litigator in business and insurance law and now has distinguished herself to me as an exemplary and virtuous family law attorney. Family law attorneys often have a "win at all costs" mentality that brings out the worst in their clients, but Attorney Wilson and Ms. Roufail have provided this father with a results-oriented legal strategy that hasn't compromised my integrity and that I believe will make my three children proud one day.
