In May of 2020, on my way home from working at a nursing home, I was pulled over for speeding by the Milwaukee Sheriff’s. I was assaulted by one officer (kneed in my ribs). I had bruises and scratches in numerous places on my body. I also suffered mentally - it was a very traumatic experience for me. Mark was contacted and took my case right away. He is the best civil rights attorney hands down. I appreciated his expertise, professionalism, and communication throughout the case. He made sure I understood what was happening every step of the way! In the end, the Milwaukee Sheriff’s Department was held accountable and had to pay me for the damages I endured because of them. I cannot thank Mark enough for everything he did for me. The only way things will change is if we continue to hold these type of officers accountable. I know Mark will continue to do just that. Mark is not only a great lawyer, he is also an amazing person and truly cares!

I could not have felt better with them handling my case. From the first communication to the last, each one of them helped guide me through the process with great understanding and compassion. I worked directly with Riley Leonard, a young attorney who is very astute with the laws and very intelligent, with a profound professionalism that made me feel comfortable and confident in my case. He addressed all my questions and researched all the details to insure everything was covered to strengthen our approach against both insurance companies. He took the necessary time to review important details to cover, and what not to say, and was at my side through my deposition. Bob Gingras, a senior partner was also involved as a resource and decision maker, and his years of experience proved solid as we moved through both cases. With their experience and knowledge, our approach and all the facts presented, the first case was closed quickly being awarded 100% of the possible amount. The second case was more challenging with the type of case we had and was through a mediator hired on by the insurance company. He presented some very compelling information that “appeared" to weaken our case. I was ready to settle for a lesser amount, feeling we should take their offer or lose more. Once again, Bob and Riley’s knowledge and more than anything, their “experience” in these types of cases, told me we hold to our requested number as both Bob and Riley understood our position. They were right, and our negotiated price being 99% of the total eligible amount was accepted. Without these two skilled attorneys’, I would have never come close to being awarded these full amounts. This firm is not a carwash type firm like some of the other larger firms with their constant marketing who roll you through the case quickly, most likely receiving less than you could have with the proper time and effort spent on your case. I highly recommend Gingras, Thomsen & Wachs for “any” of your legal needs.
