I participated in the Thanksgiving Free Cab Ride Program. This is so great that GJEL does this for a number of Bay Area counties! After registering, there were a few simple steps and a deadline to submit my fare receipt. My refund came quickly. I was happy to take a cab both ways to dinner—one carrying food, the other returning late after lots of food and wine—since one fare would be reimbursed. And I supported local cab drivers.
