Warren, MI
I retained Goldstar law to assist me with an employment discrimination case. There is a 90 day window after an EEOC investigation to file a case in Federal court. 60 days into this deadline while reviewing the EEOC file they dropped my case and I was given this bit of news by some underling at the firm. The attorney would not speak directly with me. I asked if at the least they would help me prepare the documents to file on my own as I had zero legal experience but the abandonment was complete leaving me with less than 30 days to learn how to do it myself. Other attorney I contacted stated I had a good case but with only 30 days to file passed on representation. Using the EEOC file information reviewed by a non attorney at the firm I figured it out and as a self represented person I settled my claim against a governmental agency for $125,000. Myself, a non attorney… I guess it goes without saying that not all lawyers can be trusted.
THEY WILL NOT STOP CALLING ME EVEN WHEN I ASKED THEM NICELY TO STOP! I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW THEY GOT MY PHONE NUMBER OR WHY THEY ARE CALLING
They can’t help with everything. From my experience, they are receiving two stars for answering but I don’t think they listen very well. Call at your own discretion..
While I could not get help with a case because I had no case All the staff were professional and friendly.
The rudeness of Maia was awesome! She badgered a potential client better than any defense lawyer. She commendably not only didn’t understand the issue, she sided with the employer in the matter. If you are looking for someone verbally attacking you, then ask to speak with Maia, she will not disappoint!!
Disappointed with them, and I will not use their service again. Most common than not record of proof is more important than what people say, and they said this, and that, and didn't show or gave me any written proof of what was done!
Knowledable and prompt service
Really they are only capable and savvy if you have underpaid wages they should call themselves a wage attorney not employment attorney because they have no idea about employment laws beyond wages.
They're the best!! I highly recommend :)
If you need an employment law attorney they are the best
Called them for help regarding issues in my workplace. Not only did they refuse to take up a case on it but refused to point me in a direction of someone who could help me and refused to even answer one of my legal questions because they said they would not help non-clients. And they were very rude to me about the situation when I was just calling THEM for help. I don't know who else to turn to. Tried them first and thanks to them I still have nothing.
Very helpful
