First, the woman who answered the phone was super rude. I called about setting up a consultation to see if I had a case and she snapped at me “It’s the holidays! You know day after tomorrow it’s the holidays I wouldn’t expect to have a lawyer be able to talk to you. And then the following week is another holiday. If I can get somebody great, if not then don’t expect to hear from us until the new year.” Like awesome I never demanded for a consultation TODAY, just one eventually?? And then she didn’t even pass along my message correctly, she said I got a surgery from a misdiagnosis. A lawyer called me later the same day and it felt like he wasn’t listening to anything I was saying. He was going in circles, I felt discouraged because he kept minimizing what I experienced. And then he asked if I had spoken to any other attorneys and then said maybe I should because this wasn’t a case for them and he couldn’t help me. It was so discouraging to know that the trauma I went through over the past 2 years was minimized to nothing because of a 3 minute phone call. There was zero empathy, willingness to listen or any understanding. It was honestly mortifying to end the call and feel like maybe I was stupid to seek out help for the pain and suffering I’ve experienced.
