They don't even deserve a 1 star. ​Incredibly heartless and unprofessional. My partner reached out via email months ago to resolve a matter, but Gordon Aylworth & Tami, PC completely ignored the outreach only to garnish his wages 8 months later without warning. We never received letters at our residence, yet they claim letters were sent. ​When we called to resolve this, the staff was hostile and threatened to hang up on us because we couldn’t afford a massive lump sum payment. They showed zero empathy for the fact that we are a single-income family or that they are taking money directly away from our children’s necessities. They would rather bully people on the phone than acknowledge their own lack of communication or work toward a fair resolution. A truly predatory and miserable experience.

They do not serve paperwork through the sheriff's department like they're legally supposed to do. They buy old collections accounts and then harass people. They serve allegedly legal paperwork to eleven year old little girls when parents aren't available. They are not a real business.And you should ignore anything they ever send you. Joke.

Got a letter from them in November, asked for proof or owner ship. Called once I got it and told them neither me or my husband are working at the moment, was told to call back in a few weeks or they would and was assured it wouldn't go to court this was on December 18th 2025. Got served court papers on 1/9/26, called today was told sorry they still have to proceed and that they where sorry there representative miss informed me and that I dont have to respond to the court summons.

I recieved a writ of garnishment back in October, I immediatly called this firm to work out a payment plan which they refused, so I filed for exemption with this firm and the appropriate superior court, as I am well below washington states poverty line, and do not meet the minimum ammount to be legally garnished, I never heard anything back from this "law firm" and now my $823 biweekly pay is being garnished. I can no longer afford my mortgage, utility bills. Pretty sure they've broken the law on multiple fronts in my situation. Im currently looking into a lawyer to assist me with this.

Horrible, heartless company. Sent me a wage garnishment notification on Thanksgiving. Despite my calling them, explaining that I'm HOMELESS. Update: they are refusing any payment plan under 221 dollars a month, and insisted I was irresponsible for being unable to pay that homeless. Genuinely scum of the earth. Refusing the payments I can afford knowing that if they garnish I won't be able to pay the hotel I live in while I'm looking for a place and it will force myself and my DISABLED dependent onto the street coming into Chrismas. There is a special place in hell for the people that work here. If Google gave the option for 0 stars, they would have earned it

Heather was incredibly kind and understanding. From the moment we spoke, she made me feel comfortable and reassured. She reminded me that it was completely okay to feel overwhelmed and that everyone has moments like that. Her gentle tone and warm expression made a huge difference — instead of feeling anxious, I felt supported and understood. The way she listened with genuine care and patience helped me calm down and regain my focus. Her kindness truly made the situation easier to handle and left a lasting impression on me.

10/27/25 - Back at with with this again. First representative was very unfamiliar with processes and frankly was sick of talking to me. Got transferred to a more experience person who cut right to the chase. Here is what you owe, how would you like to handle this? As stated before, this debt collector has ZERO humanity. They DO NOT care what your life problems are (in my case cancer). Pay them what they want to get them out of your life as fast as possible as they are a law firm and will use their position of authority to railroad you into what they want. Yes they will do a payment plan, NO they will not settle for less. RECORD EVERYTHING! Record all discussions, note what's agreed on, and get everything in writing. God speed to anyone having to deal with this evil entity! 1/16/24 Update - on the last payment with these guys. I ask if the collector will settle the last $200 as I am a Cancer patient who who needs medication, and my wife was just laid off. Representative said that they didn't care and will NOT settle. There is not an ounce of empathy, they wanted their money regardless of my life and needs. I have faithfully paid my balance in full. I pray none of you have to deal with this company as they will put you in the grave to get their money. I will start by saying that I have not had any serious negative action from Gordon, Aylworth & Tami. Unfortunately my health was very negatively impacted by a tumor resulting in a debt going to collections. My first call to negotiate a sensible payment plan was a success. The representative I worked with was polite, professional, and recognized my health issues out of my control. She was ready to work with me and left me feeling like this firm cares. My second call was less than professional. I was contacted because a form they need me to sign was not received. I proceeded to tell them I never received any forms but would like to handle this matter immediately. The gentleman I had to work with was less than professional. Just railroaded the conversation into how I failed them and how they are doing me a favor. I'm not sure if anyone reads these reviews but some standard training for all representatives is strongly recommend. Treating people like dirt has the adverse affect. I approached this matter with full 100% cooperation and the most upmost respect, dignity, and professionalism but did not feel like this was reciprocated back. This is a law firm and they can / will use their position of power to make you feel less than human. This is not always the case and I hope anyone reading this gets someone very friendly & cooperative to work with because I know this company does have some good people working there. My best recommendation to anyone working with this firm to settle a debt, Be early with your payments, GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING, and DO NOT assume that everyone is on the same page. If there is any doubt or question to your payment plan, dates, or documents, don't wait long to make the call and confirm.

Got sent papers back in April 2025 and I responded back like I was offered to letting them and the courts know my situation and what was going on. I NEVER denied that I owed money but also asked to make payments. 6 months later I get a letter certified mail a judgment and that they will start to garnish my wages. Not only have I read on here on other reviews that this is typical of this law firm to go after families with kids, during the holidays. Not only did I email to offer to make them payments and a week later did they just now respond telling me no??? If they would have sent me something 6 months ago about paying this would have been done 2 months ago. But this is so heartless of this firm do this during this time of year. Could probably have this debt paid in 6 weeks if they just work with me but they don’t want too. They rather garnish and put my other payment plans I have possible late or not paid so this place whom ever they are can get their money. Funny how the original place sold my account and I have no idea who this other place but still willing to pay but this firm won’t allow me to make payments. Shameful Thanks a lot

Tried working with them over email as their hours are so so restrictive and coincide with my own work hours. And they told me not to email them anymore and to call only

Allegedly served me papers, to an address I do not live at in another town, and according to the clerk to an email that isn’t mine. This resulting in me finding out about a lawsuit 2 months after the court hearing. I missed this said hearing and received a default judgment and that was forwarded from the address I do not live at to my actual address. According to the clerk they “served me via email”. Again, this was sent to an email that isn’t mine and they claim I signed it? I do believe anyone can sign an electronic signature for anyone without their knowledge, so I’m extremely curious how they can even say they delivered it to me when I spoke to no one either in person, over the phone, or via this said email. Unbelievable. Do these people even know how to do their jobs??

Not saying im in love with debt collectors and such but the payment plans are pretty flexible and the employees were nice when i called to make arrangements.

Horrible. Dirty debt collectors. I paid a $2600 debt and my last two payments bounced. Less than $250 and they filed again to my wages over it and added additional charges instead of calling to settle the debt. Have some compassion. Just greedy and ugly. They are aggressive for no reason.

Debt buyer calls using a law firm caller ID and when I asked the caller if they are a law firm he would not answer me. Yet he wanted me to verify my information to a total stranger. What a scamming company.

Tried to set up a payment plan and they denied me the chance of doing it. Not sure what if they want their money or not. Not helpful at all!

Paid off my debt in 2023, they got a court ordered garnishment for $274. It is now 2024 and 3 days after Christmas!! This garnishment drained my wife and I's savings 3 days after Christmas no warning whatsoever we were at the hospital when I checked our accounts. Never heard from them ! Never got a letter saying i owed $274 which I'm assuming is there fees for themselves cause I paid the debt off !! Terrible practice ! Of course they make it just so i can't call them, happend at 7pm and look there closed saturdays. Hope you're happy with yourselves, could've done this months ago and you choose to do it 3 days past Christmas. Paycheck to paycheck family with no back up, account is $0.00 with rent due January 1st. I hope this is the last time I have to deal with you inconsiderate souless people!!
