0 stars!!! We started my husband’s immigration process MANY months ago, I keep emailing and calling and getting no response. $5,000 paid in full and cannot get any kind of update or response. And now, the email address I once received an email from, no longer works. I understand it’s a long process, but no communication in 5 months is wild. Will be reporting them.

I gave them $5,000 and could barely get a call back. SCAM!!!!

I'd give them 0 stars. Paid $2500 for nothing. They just ignore me now. Jason Hines told me he could help me no problem that it would take a few weeks. It's been over 4 months and now they just ignore me. So disappointing

That office is the worst experience I have ever had. The owner of this firm lives in Louisiana and not licensed to practice here. I hired them for an emergency custody of my 2 great granddaughters. Went to court 2 times in January and my lawyer said nothing each time. Then he tells me he's leaving the firm. They give me another lawyer go to court end of March. I still dont have my babies. They have charged me alot of money got nothing from them except they dropped me. Now I have no lawyer. The 2 lawyers I had and another one from the firm now have an office off Oak Ridge hwy. Be aware they will take your money and then drop you. The firm had a jr lawyer to review a seniorvlawyers work on my files. This is to inflate my expenses. Also said he worked on Christmas day. Don't believe that either. I paid cash of $217.00 for something in court got receipt. Then charged my trust for same thing and amount.

I wish i could give this firm a 10 star review! My case was not easy. It was a fight tooth and nail every step of the way but this team of Attorneys is TOP NOTCH! They are experienced, bulldogs when they have to be, and shoot you straight. They aren't going to blow smoke rings up your butt and make promises. Professional, ethical, and above par for sure! Thank you Attorney Hines and Attorney Miller.

I had the pleasure of working with this firm for over a year during a probate case where I served as the executor of a large, complex estate. From the start, everyone was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and supportive. They guided me through every step of the probate process with patience and clarity, making a complex situation much more manageable. Their attention to detail and prompt communication gave me confidence that everything was being handled correctly and efficiently. I see now why he chose this office to handle the probate process once he was gone. Their level of experience was definitely needed. I truly appreciated their dedication and compassion throughout the process.

I went to this law firm spoke to them about a custody case. They said they could help me, but I needed to put $5000 in an account as a deposit and they would deduct fees from that amount for services rendered I could never get a hold of the attorney to get information about my case but they would charge me per phone call per email and could never get any response so the money in my account kept dwindling down. I finally get a callback from a paralegal in the office that said there was nothing further that I could do in my custody case so I ceased all further information and fired the attorney firm and it has taken me four months to get the Funds-balance on my account paid back to me. I cannot get a respectable answer and I feel like they did me a disservice and just took my case on and took my money. This law firm takes advantage of people so if that’s the type of lawyer you want you found the right place, other than that, they did not help me out in any way shape or form. In fact, they were very unprofessional to be such educated lawyers.

These " attorneys " took 4 months to do what a small town lawyer did in 2 weeks. When we get to the court house to file, I was told it'll be around 120. We get to the desk it's like 350, so they didn't do their due diligence there. Now I'm getting threatening letters from the Chancery court because they were wrong on the fees yet again. I wouldn't let these guys represent my dog in a hydrant pissing case. I wish I could give 0 stars

So displeased! They will take your money, continue to bill you beyond belief, make you explain your story 3-5 different times to different attorneys there, charge you for it, say they’re aggressive, then not do anything to help, let months and months go by and barely communicate, and then drop you! They charge you for every single little thing from them sending you your own statement/bill via email every other day, to calling to let you know an appointment is canceled and make you pay for it! Emailing them one email will cost you big even if it doesn’t require a response bc it’s to add to my file and takes them a few mins to read And they keep billing you for thousands of dollars when you haven’t seen a single thing be done in your case in months, then withdrawal from your case and send yet more bills afterward. 6 months wasted. I recall Jason Hines even stated to me (a mom trying to get her daughter back from a temporary order put in place 3 years ago bc of twisted lies and manipulations) that he does what he does at work and at the end of the day will go home to his family and kids in peace and sleep like a baby, knowing how heartbroken I’ve been for years bc the other party kept filing motions of continuance until the court finally forced a trial date. But I have yet to see required mediation date and or have any attempt at a resolution, even a temporary resolution (that they initially mentioned we could likely get in place) until a trial. It gave me false hope. I’ve spent thousands of dollars only to be completely dropped before my trial. They’re unorganized and forget parts of your case that are crucial bc months go by without communication. I spent weeks and hours collecting evidence to help my case and scanning it to them only for them to now tell me they can’t even send me all the files they have pertaining to my case bc it’s “too big.” Fed Ex?? They will not help you, they will cause you more distress. I’m sorry for the folks who have also had this experience.

There are no words to express how grateful I am for this wonderful group of people!!! From the first answer of the phone (Michelle) to this minute these people have gone above and beyond to help me understand the process. I have received return calls, texts, and emails after hours simply to make sure I was ok. I’m a grandparent with this issue being my first ever legal case. I haven’t been an easy client but nobody has ever made me feel like my lack of experience was a burden to them!!!! I highly recommend LaFevor and Slaughter!!! They have all been a huge blessing to me and my family!!!!

Use this firm if you want to be billed beyond belief and have absolutely nothing done for you. They will fail to do anything they say they will do, fail to respond to basic questions via email, pass you from attorney to attorney with no explanation, ignore basic requests, fail to update their own files with proper contact information, fail to communicate with opposing counsel appropriately and send you bill after bill after bill for the incompetence. I paid over $10,000.00 for absolutely nothing except a mediocre accompaniment to an initial custody hearing (an attorney I did not hire showed up, she knew absolutely nothing about my case) and a completely toothless divorce complaint.

I really appreciate the hard work and time Joshua Leach and Joshua Collins put into our case. I highly recommend this team of amazing attorneys. Very kind, professional and knowledgeable! What a blessing they are!
