_______________________________________________________________ [Updated 08/01/2025] I made the decision to use Michele's services again thinking that based on the bad initial experience followed by her coming through things would be alright. Unfortunately, Michele has yet again left me with weeks of unanswered emails, is intentionally not taking my calls or responding to my messages. She let me know earlier on in my case that she required my partner to have separate representation which we paid for out of pocket, and unfortunately seems to have been an additional waste of money because Michele is unresponsive to my partner's attorney as well. This is truly unacceptable for any service provider let alone an attorney who is supposed to be acting in your best interest. I have weeks of emails unanswered, and when she finally did pick up the phone and confirmed that she would have my document ready by the end of the day - that was also a lie. Not only is it not ready she is continuing to avoid communication at all. I've been nothing but accommodating and respectful in all of my communication and the bare minimum expectation is to get the service I pay for which is absolutely not what you will get with Michele. I highly recommend you avoid this attorney and her office because odds are it is going to cost you way more anxiety and stress than it's worth. I genuinely wish I had engaged another attorney and deeply regret working with Michele. _______________________________________________________________ [Initial review] Maybe one of the worst experiences I've had with any service I've had in WA. I contacted Michele in June, 2023, and had a phone appointment scheduled with her on 6/30/23 to talk to her about my situation. We had what I thought was a great discussion about why I was looking to engage her services as an attorney, and she assured me that I would receive an email follow-up from her that day with the documents she talked to me about in our conversation. It was 4th of July weekend following that conversation, so when I didn't receive a follow-up I gave her the leverage that it was a Friday leading up to a long weekend and everyone deserves that kind of leeway. By 7/14 I still hadn't heard from her, and sent a follow-up email, and then another, and then another with no response. I was in Europe on a business trip and called her from there and was finally able to get her over the phone near 7/20 when she apologized for not responding and claimed it was because she had recently taken on a number of additional clients but confirmed that it was not an excuse for me not being taken seriously and that I was still important to her. She confirmed on that day that I would receive an email with the documents by the end of that day. Which never happened. On 7/25 I emailed her letting her know this was totally unacceptable and I received a response letting me know we could schedule a phone call the next morning, which I didn't need to do. I let her know that I didn't need a phone call, I needed the documents she had told me on multiple occasions that I would receive multiple times before. I never received the documents. She has not responded to emails, phone calls, or text messages since. Michele is super unpredictable. She will come off as a trustworthy attorney over the phone, but will never follow up, keep dragging you along with the hope that she's going to follow up, and then never will. I'm desperate for a new attorney now with being a month late on my legal case which should and could have been handled within that first week. Avoid.

Periodically ghosted, so timeline increases dramatically

Michele was professional and efficient creating our legal documents. She took the lead several times to ensure that we completed our engagement with her services in a timely manner. I appreciate her attention to detail, care in explaining the legal process, and patience while walking through various scenarios. I will surely work with her again when we next have the need for her services.

Michele assisted my family in a name change matter. She was able to explain the process from start to finish and explain any fees we could expect to pay. She is quick to respond to emails and I would use her services again, if needed. Overall awesome attorney to work with!

I cannot believe Michelle is still in business! I reached out back in 2017 for assistance with a cohabitation agreement. She came recommended by other lawyers working in the same building. After an initial phone call and sending her some paperwork, she GHOSTED me on our next scheduled call and stopped responding to all email. She did this AFTER I sent her all my info and paperwork. Incredibly unprofessional and a total scam. I thought she had maybe gone out of business or something but no, I see that she is still in operation. Avoid working with her at all costs.

Michele came across as very responsive and provided verbal commitment to work with us. We sent all the requested details and followed up several times over email and phone but never heard back from her. It would have been useful to know that she had decided to not take us on as a client.

Michele has been entirely unresponsive since I began working with her earlier this year. The relationship started very professional with updates but has come to a point where no work has actually been delivered (I just needed a letter of demand written and sent) and she never responded to my last voicemail and email. I am not sure if there is something going on with her personally but I at minimum expected a heads up she couldn’t manage my case anymore and/or a referral to a colleague. Im really disappointed by the amount of time I’ve lost on this because of her.

Attorney Haaseth stepped in to assist with the legal documents that I needed to submit to the court for a guardianship. She made time for me, was cordial and very knowledgable. I highly recommend her for your legal needs.
