I want to leave a review in here because as a businesse owner I know how important is for customer know about how everyone works! Neil and Vanessa and awesome lawyers as a defense team! When I need an advise in the middle of the night they were the only ones who call me back free of charge! So they text me back with all my questions in that night! It is not an easy situation but Neil make all really clear! He does his homework! Worth the money to have a good team like them.

Rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I am the ex-wife of his client. He and his client lied when they submitted a counterclaim to my DVRO. They twisted the whole truth, omitted crucial details, and lied about who called the police on whom. I understand he has his client’s best interests, but how rude, disrespectful, dishonest, and unprofessional Neil is in a Domestic Abuse situation is beyond my comprehension. His client’s previous attorney, even though she was a criminal defense attorney as well, dealing with family law issues, was never disrespectful or rude. Neil might be great for criminal law, but how rude he is when it comes to dealing with a family matter is beyond any logical explanation. I am pretty sure he will say I am bitter as he tried to characterize me using his client’s fake mother’s statement, which was shocking to me that an attorney who is supposed to obey the Rules of Professional Conduct was characterizing me falsely. Add to all of that, he helped his client to lie in court documents and signed the “petition” under the penalty of perjury. It is either his client did not mention the full truth and Neil fell for his client’s KNOWN manipulation, which personally I think if this is the case then Neil is a terrible attorney for not truly knowing the truth and falling for the lies. The other scenario would be Neil knew his client was lying and agreed to help him file a counterclaim, mind you a day prior to the original trial date. If Neil comes back and pretends I am difficult, I will be more than happy to provide the recording from my first encounter with him and his subsequent emails that are filled with provoking, questionable language from an attorney.

I would highly recommend Neil Hallinan if you are looking for a responsive and very competent defense attorney. I was recently charged with felony sexual assault over a holiday weekend in San Francisco. Mr. Halinan made himself available and came to my aid. This was a very busy three day holiday weekend and he showed up big time for me. The DA was recommending no bail and the charge carried significant penalties. Mr Halinan was able to obtain bail and then he went to work. Using well thought out and highly professional investigative skills and questioning, Neil got to the bottom of the false accusations. He was thorough, methodical and down right exceptional. Ultimately , using experience and a deep knowledge of the issues and the system, Neil made the DA realize there was no chance of winning this case due to a significant amount exculpatory evidence he had corroborated and put together. The charges were dismissed in the interest of Justice. No misdemeanor, no jail time, no felony……dismissal. I could not recommend him more highly if you are in need of a criminal defense attorney .
