Didn't get a chance to directly work with Hamilton, but had called to engage with his team. They were direct on indicating my issue wasn't their particular area of expertise - however, they went through the effort to refer me to their network which show's their a class act to work with.

We moved to MI from another state where we had created our first family wills and trusts. Hamilton Law was close by and they knew exactly how to rewrite our wills and trusts to align with Michigan estate planning laws. I have avoided estate planning for years, but now in my seventies, I knew I had to find an attorney I was comfortable with. The Hamilton Law firm’s published flat fee schedule piqued my interest because in dealing with my parents’ estate, it was common to pay a large retainer with endless additional fees. During my initial consultation with Ean -- who was so welcoming, empathic, and informative -- I immediately knew I had found my ideal attorney. Was a referral to me. Had 1 phone conversation then he never followed up with me on the case as he stated he would. No call, no email, Hmmm, If you weren't interested in my case just say so, don't say your going to send a letter for me to review and ignore me completely.

I engaged this law firm for a matter that required two phases of work. As the first phase neared completion it became clear that Mr. Hamilton and I had differing communication styles, and I elected not to proceed further. Nonetheless, we were able to conclude our engagement on amicable terms.

I was so pleased with our Estate Planning experience with Ian Hamilton of Hamilton Law. Ian, Gayle, and her staff are very knowledgeable and professional. They were even able to save us monies by educating us about the Lady Bird Deed. I will be recommending them to all my family and friends. Once I applied online, Ian set up a free consultation to review the options and answer all of my questions. Their online forms are easy and there are we had no hidden fees (they are even posted on their website). I highly recommend them!
