Based on a referral, I reached out to Carlo. Both he and Melissa were very easy to work with. They handled a small agreement efficiently and professionally with no issues. I hired Andrew Haugen because I assumed paying more for an attorney meant I would get someone who would master the details of my divroce case, provide clear strategic guidance, and actually fight for my interests. Instead, working with him was a expensive headache. Andrew routinely failed to remember basic facts about my case. I repeatedly asked straightforward questions—like how he expected the court to divide our assets and debts—and I never received a clear answer. Even worse, he could not get opposing counsel to produce basic financial documents (bank statements, credit card statements, etc.). As a result, we never assembled a complete financial package that would have been essential for trial. Adding to the headache, he took about two weeks to transmit a counter offer to opposing counsel at a critical, time-sensitive moment of the case. Two days before my pretrial, I asked if we could speak. He told me he didn’t have time for the next several days. I had to remind him that my pretrial was in two days. After that, he gave me about five minutes on the phone before he went into court for another case. By that point, I had so little confidence in him that I did not feel comfortable having him represent me at pretrial. His incompetence pushed me into accepting a deal well short of a 50/50 division of assets and debt. He cost me thousands of dollars, wasted my time, and added far more stress than necessary. Do not hire this attorney. And since he’s a partner at the firm, I can only imagine how much worse it could be with junior staff. I don't know who the right lawyer for you is, but I know it's not Andrew Haugen.

Very disappointed with this firm’s billing practices and lack of professionalism. On January 2, I received two invoices on the same day—one for $1,800 and another for $1,500. I paid the $1,800 invoice immediately. The second invoice was inadvertently missed, which was understandable given they were sent simultaneously and law firms typically collect a larger retainer up front. Despite having paid over $25,000 to this firm and having the funds available, they terminated our representation over the missed invoice. There was no effort to resolve the issue or allow immediate payment. I was told “too bad” due to “strict partner rules,” and the billing representative was dismissive and unwilling to discuss it further. Being dropped as a client over a billing confusion was rigid, unforgiving, and unprofessional. I strongly caution others to closely monitor billing, as this firm shows little flexibility or understanding.
