I found Hendshaw’s Law firm recommendation on a Fb group. I gave them a call, discussed my case and set up an official appointment with Nate, Michael, Brittany and Hannah. They handled my DV case very well but I wouldn’t recommend them for Child custody cases. They were unresponsive via phone calls, text, and emails. At a time when anxiety is already high the last thing you want is to have your legal team to ghost you. I paid a large amount for them to not even create a parenting plan or set up child support that was advised by the judge. When I asked for my folder/info to be passed onto my new lawyer the staff at Henshaw gave me a corrupt file.

Had a legal matter come up and didn’t think it was fair. Almost lost sleep over it. Talked to Mr. Henshaw face to face and he solved my issue. Huge weight off my shoulders. He was great to talk to and my issue is solved. Hopefully I don’t ever need a lawyer again but if I do he sure knows his stuff. Thank you.

I engaged Henshaw Law Firm for a critical child custody case, hoping for expert assistance. Instead, I faced exorbitant charges totaling $42,500, with minimal progress. Their staff, insensitive to my financial constraints as a disabled veteran, nonchalantly cited "the law" as an excuse for their incompetence. They overcharged me for trivial phone calls and allowed a child support order to pass uncontested, despite my inability to pay. Moreover, they falsified documents behind my back, showing blatant disregard for ethics. Their failure to file necessary motions further hindered my access to my son. Avoid Henshaw Law Firm at all costs. They exploit vulnerable clients, providing little to no value while laughing at your plight. A disastrous experience, not worth a single penny. Do NOT RECOMMEND.

I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without Nate and his legal team in my corner. Years of dealing with a difficult custody situation and Nate and his assistant Hannah held fast to secure the best possible outcome I had dreamt of. I connected with Nathan Henshaw prior to him starting his own law office. Nathan immediately took me in as family. I remember finding myself at ease and welcomed into his small closet office. Back in the day, when he was at the old firm, my fam and I fell head over heels for his dedication, his smarts, and his down-to-earth vibe. None of that sleazy lawyer nonsense with this guy. He's more like your buddy who just happens to know a ton about law. And let me tell ya, he's not afraid to give you a reality check when you need it. This team is the best in anchorage. They fought tough and ugly custody to finally show the court system the issues of the internet and social media and the damage it causes. They did their research on terms and got educated on how Discord, tiktok ect works and the effects it causes. They made me feel at peace and able to live comfortably knowing I'm a good mom who makes the tough choices and continue to do so for my kids. Thank you, guys, for helping me and protecting me and making me realize I'm not alone through the difficulties. You can trust these guys and know ur situations will be helped and taken care of so ur not stressed and feel ur alone. No one is alone through this. I can't thank the team enough. I hope this case I had shows everyone the internet is a dangerous world for ur children.

I was very impressed by a personalized approach of this law office! In a world of corporate firms, it’s refreshing to have business that has an old fashioned small town feel. This is definitely a community centered legal practice since there is a child corner to entertain your kids while you are waiting. Prior to scheduling a consultation here, I called several attorneys around town and many have third party answering services that lead to 2-3 days response just to get a consultation. Others also charge $300 for a consultation upfront. At Henshaw the consultation was free and we actually got valuable information without a sales pitch for additional services. The meeting with an attorney was a detailed outline of our options where he actually recommended the most cost effective options for us! I would strongly recommend this office for your legal needs. It’s easy to find them at a downtown central location with a beautiful view.
