Blue haired Miss Hewlett obviously knows little about the law. Makes me wonder how she passed the bar. My friend was charged with assault for defending herself. Hewlett tries to downgrade the charges to a misdemeanor instead getting the charges dropped. Hewlett is inexperienced and unknowledgeable when it comes to someone who is actually innocent.

Haven't had the opportunity to physically meet Attorney Hewlett outside of phone conversations. I was referred to Attorney Hewlett via my Legalshield provider Merritt Webb for a frivolous traffic matter: The B.P.D. of Shelby County TN gave me a citation and stated jail would be my next option for "allegedly" disregarding a red light, even though I waited and turned when the signal/arrow was green. Furthermore, ALL of my license/insurance/registration was and is VALID. Attorney Hewlett was very professional, concise, and straightforward. Needless to say, she fought for me and proved that the officer had given me the ticket in error based on his own as well as my testimony. Everything was dismissed without having to pay 1 cent for court costs. This rarely happens in the little town where court was held. So, I'm satisfied and grateful.
