While I hope all of these reviews are genuinely accurate and Mr. Dudley has truly turned things around in the last few years, I had a terrible experience with him when I was a student and I’ve been quiet about it since but I feel like it’s a disservice to anyone considering retaining him, and honestly, I selfishly feel the need to address it publicly. I retained Mr. Dudley 10 years ago when he worked adjacent with HRH, a firm in Austin. Paid the entire legal fee in cash up front. For three years, I was unable to get in contact with him for any case update after hiring him. The firm he worked with in Austin even said they had been unable to get in contact with him eventually after consistently checking for updates for those 3 years. I was left completely in the dark. He even missed one of my court dates, and the court official said that because I had representation, it didn’t matter that I was there- my attorney had to speak on my behalf and I was sent home with my attorney a no-show. I eventually got acknowledgement from Todd that he forgot. He offered to pay for my misdemeanor ticket for his mistake. I still had another charge that I was going through. At this point, it had been almost three years of no contact- calling his cell, the office- anyone. The office told me he was going through something personal, which I have sympathy for- but as a college student about to graduate with a degree in Criminal Justice that would be deemed meaningless if the charge stuck, this level of unprofessionalism had my life on hold. Fast forward to zero contact after three years, and the statute of limitations was up for my charge. I went through the student attorneys office on campus at the end of my senior year (2016), filed my own expungement for the arrest and submitted all of my own paperwork. Still no word from Todd. Come to find out, the grand jury decided not to indicted me TWO years prior, so I essentially sat in limbo for over 2 years because of my attorneys ineptitude, stressing about my soon to be future and not knowing if I would even be able to use my degree. Of note, Mr. Dudley never informed me of this, I found it out on my own that the grand jury decided not to indict in 2014. Per guidance from the campus attorney (free to students, by the way! Highly recommend), I was able to clear my record, and I also sent Todd a certified letter requesting my payment back, and if not, I would be bringing it to the Bar within 10 days of receipt. Guess who got a call the same day upon receiving that letter, and guess who received a check IN FULL in the mail within 3 days from Todd? Todd, I truly hope things are better in your personal life and that it isn’t affecting your clients anymore but my experience with you truly changed the course of my life. And I see that you respond to reviews saying people posting negative reviews weren’t clients - I’d be happy to provide all paperwork, including the certified mail stub from the letter I sent you in 2016. I sincerely hope my experience is rare and out-of-character now, and I hope these words remind you of the importance and trust that people place in you. It has a lasting effect.

This is by far one of the more Janky lawyers is you are appointed them get ready to be railroaded you probably will go months on end without hearing anything about your case or what’s going.. they set many no apprear court dates it is obvious they are just in on a big money ring!!!

Literally are horrible people unless you pay them an arm and leg then they’ll just take half to the prosecutor to get the case thrown. Other than that if you or anyone you know loved ones, friends, family etc. They are in for it!! PREPARE to be treated as if you wanting to know what’s going on with your case is annoying them… they will not return calls or emails! The receptionist has the attitude of a 17 year old taking orders at McDonald’s! IN OTHER WORDS IF YOU ARE APPOINTED TO THEM RUN NOT WALK TO THE JUDGE FOR A NEW LAWYER THEY WILL 1000 PERCENT SELL YOU OUT AND DRAG YIUR CASE OUT FOR MONTHS ON END !!!!

You may never get to talk to anyone because the receptionist does not pass on messages and gives horrible information. The lawyers are great but there messenger needs another career.
