I recently engaged the services of Attorney Meghan Lyon regarding two traffic tickets. After reviewing the situation, she advised me to plead guilty and pay the fines to avoid the inconvenience of court proceedings. I appreciated her guidance and inquired about her fees. She responded in a lighthearted manner, suggesting, "Buy me a couple of drinks." However, during a separate conversation with a my attorney, a colleague of Attorney Lyon’s whom she referred me to, I was surprised to learn that she does not practice in motor vehicle or criminal law. This misguidance resulted in possible violations of my original agreement, ultimately costing me an additional $2,000 that was after I spent a long night working and stopped in to O’Connor's Pub, ran into her and bought her alcoholic beverage to cover her suggested fees. To make matters worse, I recently returned to O’Connor’s Pub, only to overhear Attorney Lyon discussing the specifics of my case with her friends, laughing about it as if I were the subject of a joke. This was alarming, as I believed my case details were confidential. While I am grateful for Attorney Lyon's initial assistance, this experience has raised serious concerns about the professionalism of her practice. I should have been wary when asked to settle her fees in “alcoholic beverages.”

I would not recommend. Unprofessional, unkind and passive aggressive, just with in the first very few interactions. Treated like a child and was addressed by a nickname through email. Even the way emails were exchanged were much more like text messages. No formal introduction just started requesting personal information. She was hired by the trustees of the estate so being that it was my first time ever hearing of her or the firm I was shocked to be treated in such a way.
