I would strongly caution anyone considering Hogan Smith Law Firm. After retaining them, I experienced extremely poor communication and little to no meaningful assistance with my case. I was repeatedly left to handle paperwork and communication myself, which defeats the purpose of hiring legal representation in the first place. Important information—such as doctor appointment updates—was not communicated to me in a timely manner and, in some instances, I was only notified the day before the appointment. That lack of coordination creates unnecessary stress and can jeopardize a case. What is even more concerning is that after terminating their services, the firm verbally refused to provide my client file upon request. As most clients know, attorneys are generally expected to provide the client’s file when representation ends in accordance with Florida Bar guidelines. Despite refusing to release my file, they have still attempted to collect a service fee from SSA. A formal complaint detailing all emails, all correspondences between myself and Dale Delos Santos has been reported to the Florida Bar. In my experience, there was a complete lack of communication, transparency, and professional responsibility. I expected advocacy and guidance, but instead was left doing the work myself while being kept in the dark. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Hogan Smith Law Firm. Yes I still have all email proof and all evidence, and sadly my files are what I need to finish my case.
