My husband underwent elective surgery in May of 2023 for which we paid the amount we were told would be our responsibility. Post surgery we were hit with a very large surprise bill. The hospital stated that the surgery was not covered by insurance. If this were true why did they perform it without obtaining a signature from the patient accepting responsibility for the entire bill. When I contacted the insurance company I was told there was no record of the hospital contacting the insurance company to check coverage. Upon contacting the billing office I was unsuccessful in making them understand and since all the bills were sent through MyChart, I could not designate payment to other specific (legitimate) charges which ended up going to collections. In December, I contacted Ms. Holtkamp upon referral from NC lawyer Referral Service. She was awesome! I provided the documentation she requested and she proceeded to draft a letter to the hospital billing department reminding them of their legal responsibilities regarding patients' rights in the surprise billing arena. On April 23, all charges were removed. Ms. Holtkamp is knowledgeable, persistent and tenacious. She was responsive to my questions and always kept me informed of options, prices, timeline and potential outcomes. I could not be more impressed with her abilities in bringing about a resolution. I would highly recommend her services.

As a writer, I had a major issue with Amazon’s “Two Step Verification” process and gaining access to the books I wrote. Ms. Holtkamp immediately addressed the problem by calling customer service, directing me to the proper channels, as well as taking my case seriously. Lynn was so adamant that she was an expert on the help we needed during the consultation.Doing what needed to be done after the death of my mother and clearing up some messiness that happened with the POA stealing needed to be handled. Once hired the VERY time sensitive situation was NOT a priority at ALL. After she continued putting it off for months there was nothing that could be done.A year later she gave us a refund because she hadn’t done anything,not even the probate filings and to this day we are still being harassed by the court house over that.This was a devastating situation to deal with after the death of our mother that we cared for, for a year until she died.We didn’t need a refund we needed Lynn to do the job she was hired to do(the bare minimum with the court house probate at least).We can’t find another attorney to touch it at this point. Her lack of concern,avoiding and not returning calls was so frustrating. The lack of concern for the time sensitivity was unethical! Lawyer this woman IS NOT, she should be ashamed of her work ethic. I wish I would have read these reviews instead of trusting that the Bar Association was recommending good services.

Paid for consultation but only received a recommendation for a mechanic she has used. No consulting occurred in the 21 minutes of our 30 minute consultation. I reached out to get help in what I’m going through and she only added to my distress.

She is fantastic. She responds timely and Attorney Holtkamp is a very knowledgeable Attorney. I absolutely would use her again and refer her to other people.

She never &/or refused to return requests for phone calls via both email & voicemail. Although I was a defended in the case, if I had an attorney, she’d be required to return their calls, so essentially I was my own attorney & she should’ve returned my calls. Also, she’s very unprofessional in her emails. If a direct question was asked in the email, she’d answer whatever she chose but not the specific question. Finally, instead of continuing an email string, she’d start a new email string without a subject. Her communication is HORRIBLE!!!

I was referred by the North Carolina bar association. I paid my $50 had a consultation with her and she was not knowledgeable at all. She was just HORRIBLE. Kept telling me people I needed to call and ask general questions. Said that she could not help me because it is my word against theirs when I have a recording and paperwork to backup my claims. That was $50 wasted. Please read the reviews before you choose she is not the way to go you will just be losing money and her gaining and not helping you. I should have looked her up and read the reviews before paying the $50.
